The book rental fees at Lanesville for kindergarten through grade six were set by the Lanesville Board of School Trustees in their meeting Tuesday (June 9).
The new fees were set as follows: kindergarten-$92.70, grade 1-$141.45, grade 2-$113.85, grade 3-$86.10, grade 4-$93.70, grade 5-$104.40, and grade 6-$95.00.
In grade 3, the increases represent the addition of the use of a reading text, while any increases in other grades reflect an increase in the costs of consumable materials, and also new Social Studies textbooks. Any decreases reflect the omission of consumable materials.
The board also approved various contracts for personnel needed in the June intercession.
June intercession contracts were signed for Lisa Hammond, Bethany Miller, Erin Green, Jerry Geswein, Brian Book, and Robin Wolfe.
Peer tutor pay for the intercession is still set at $5.00 per hour, where it has been since the intercessions have been held since the district went to the balanced calendar.
The exact number of peer tutors has yet to be determined.
The board also approved pay for bus drivers for the June intercession.
