The Pirate Baseball team (22?8) outlasted the Salem Lions in the Championship game of the Class 3A #30 Sectional, hosted by Silver Creek High School.
The Pirates earn the victory 7?6 in extra innings.
The Sectional crown is only the second in school baseball history, the first title came in 1999.  "What a wild ride!  I can't say enough about the kids and their effort in this tournament, especially tonight.  It definitely wasn't easy and we really had to battle to win.  Salem is a good ball club and my hat is off to them for a hard fought contest tonight.  We are extremely excited to get this victory for our players, fans, coaches, and our school.  It took everyone on our roster to make this happen and I just can't say enough about the guys and how proud I am of each and every one of them," stated Coach Ricky Romans.
