    St. John's Church in Starlight is hosting the 31st Annual Starlight Strawberry Festival on Saturday, May 23.
    A buffet-style dinner will be served from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. in the Church Hall which will include: Ham, Fried Chicken, Chicken and Dumplings, Corn, Slaw, Green Beans with New Potatoes, Tea, Lemonade, Water and Dessert. Adults 10 and older cost $8.50, Senior Citizens cost $7.50 and Children 3-10 years cost $5, with children under 3 free.
    Adults can join around the tables in the Wine & Beer Garden to play Blackjack, Showdown, or just relax and enjoy the music and hospitality. Enjoy the evening hours of the festival by visiting the street dance with music provided by Southern Indiana's own “Rumors”.
    The festival will be held rain or shine, with covered facilities available.
    Festival events will include: Buffet-style chicken and ham dinner, Bingo, Craft Booths, Clogging, Music, Rock Climbing Wall, Carnival Rides, Homegrown Strawberries (if available), Hanging Flower Basket Wheel, Pull Tab Bingo, Soapbox Derby, Strawberry Queen Contest, Lucky Number Booth, Cake Wheel, Ping Pong Toss, Blackjack, Raffles (prizes to include cash, two quilts and jewelry), and a Wine and Beer Garden.
    The Strawberry Festival Queen Contest will begin at 11 a.m. and conclude with the crowning after judging. Awards for the Queen Contest are as follows: Queen - $100, 1st Runner-Up - $75 and 2nd Runner-Up - $50.

Emma Emery – Age 18

Hobbies: Volunteering at the Animal Shelter, raising rabbits, spinning flags, dancing.
Other: Emma is studying Animal Sciences/Pre-Vet at Purdue and plans to open a clinic after graduation. She loves meeting new people.

Maria Kirchgessner – Age 19

Presently attending Bellarmine University
Organizations and Clubs: Bellarmine University Accounting Association, Knight's Nation Pep Club, Bellarmine Ambassador.
Hobbies: Babysitting, Shopping, helping pit crew for Arca Racing, hanging out with family and friends.
Other: Maria has wanted to be an accountant since eighth grade. She will be starting an internship with Yum! Brands this summer.

Bea Bodner – Age 19

Katharine Finn – Age 17

Other: Katharine loves tap, ballet, and jazz at Weber's School of Dance. She has two brothers and a sister, and is very involved with her church here at St. John's Starlight.

Alice Huber- Age 18
