Mark your calendar and plan to attend Clark Memorial Hospital’s eleventh annual Men’s Health Fair and Car Show.
The award-winning show, on Saturday, May 30 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the hospital grounds, is designed to raise awareness among men on the importance of preventive health behaviors, early detection and the treatment of health problems affecting men, such as heart disease, high blood pressure and prostate cancer.
Free health screenings will again be offered against a backdrop of classic and antique cars. Some of the screenings will include foot, skin cancer, blood pressure and vision.
Two screenings offered that require an appointment are the free total lipid profiles (cholesterol screenings) and the free prostate cancer screenings for men over the age of 50. Attendees are asked to pre-register for the screenings by calling 812-283-2989 and leaving a message.
Health and wellness presentations will be offered on the hour starting at 10 a.m. Various presentations will take place including Ken Schulz with Humana MarketPoint on weather safety.
More than 1,800 people attended last year’s event, with more than 5,800 screenings and education opportunities offered.
