Chad Goff rode the Salem Speedway high banks to victory in Saturday’s Scott County Visitors Commission Winged Sprint Spectacular, presented by Must See Racing.com.
The Whitmore Lake, Michigan, driver outdistanced a field of 19 starters in the 30-lap main event to record his first career Salem Speedway victory.
A total of 26 winged sprint cars, representing the Hoosier Outlaw Sprint Series and Auto Value Bumper to Bumper Super Sprint Series, were on hand for the first combined sprint show at Salem.
Canada’s Ryan Litt finished second in the main event, with Hank Lower third, Jimmy McCune fourth and Tim Cox fifth.
Aaron Pierce, Jeff Bloom, Jim Swain, Kyle Flint and Ryan Myers rounded out the second five in that order.
Heat race winners were Jason Blonde, Cox and Goff. Lower won the B-Main.
The $1,000 “bounty” placed on Kevin Feeney’s one-lap track record of 14.377-seconds went unclaimed, as Litt posted fast time with a 14.532-second lap.
Saturday’s race marked the kick-off of an exciting seven race TV package for Must See Racing during the 2009 season.

The taped delayed broadcasts, with veteran announcer Dave Argabright and expert analyst Tom Bigelow, will be aired on Comcast SportsNet, Comcast and HomeTown Sports throughout select areas of Indiana, Michigan, Illinois, Wisconsin and Iowa. It will also be shown on the Must See Racing.com web site. For broadcast dates and times visit Must See Racing.com.
Todd Kempf of Huntingburg captured Saturday’s Lucas Oil 40 for the Lucas Oil Super Stocks with David Bayens of Memphis, Ind., winning the Taco Bell 40 for the Dave & Deb’s Winner’s Circle Street Stocks.
Racing returns to the high banks on Friday night, May 15 when the Super Stocks, Street Stocks and Thunder Roadsters come together for Armed Forces Night, presented by McDonald’s. The popular Exhibition Drags and Burnout Contest are also part of the upcoming event.
