Borden sweeps Lanesville 5-0 in girls’ tennis last week PDF Print E-mail

    The Borden girls’ tennis team swept the Lanesville squad 5-0 Thursday afternoon at Borden, with senior no.1 singles player Andrea Rademacher winning 6-0, 6-1 over Lanesville’s Caroline Turcotte.
    At the no.2 singles position, Borden’s Erin Mikel def. Lanesville’s LeAnne Myers by a 6-0, 6-2 score.
    At the no.3 singles position, Borden’s Allison Rademacher won a 6-0, 6-2 decision over Felicia Adamic.
    Both of the Rademacher’s transferred from Scottsburg before the start of the 2008-09 school year, and Andrea Rademacher was a stand out for the Borden Lady Braves’ basketball team.
    Borden also won both of the doubles’ matches, in straight sets in both cases.
    At the no.1 doubles position, Borden’s Jordan Cook and Kelli Holthouser def. Lanesville’s Rachel riley and Jenna Walter by a 6-3, 6-4 score.
    At the no.2 doubles spot, Borden saw its no.2 team of Kelsey Evans and Janelle Graham def. Lanesville’s counterpart of Alana Umensetter and Katie Cook 6-4, 6-0.
