The second half of the season had been a struggle for the Warriors thus far, especially non-conference games, coming in with only one win out of the Mid-Southern Conference, which came against Southwestern. Scottsburg knew it would be a tough road ahead, with games against Floyd Central, Jeffersonville, and Mitchell coming after their matchup against the Panthers.
Scottsburg again started the game well, outscoring Jennings County 18-12 in the first quarter, but dropping off a bit in the second, with the run being 13-17. Scottsburg would take a 31-29 lead into halftime, hoping that the second half wouldn’t show a major drop-off like it had in recent games. To their disappointment, the third quarter again wouldn’t go the Warriors way, as Jennings County would take a 45-44 lead into the final period. Scottsburg went on a tear in the fourth however, scoring a whopping 26 points to take home the 70-59 win, making it their second all season out of conference.
Once again Max Clemons would lead the team in scoring with 17, as they looked to get some momentum for their game against Floyd Central.
