The Floyd County Solid Waste District, the New Albany-Floyd County Parks Department, and the Floyd County Road Department are sponsoring Christmas Tree Recycling for all Floyd County residents at several area locations. The trees may be dropped off from December 26 through January 19. For further information about the tree recycling, please call the Solid Waste District Office at 948-4733. The locations for the tree drop off are as follows: Sam Peden Community Park - 3035 Grant Line Road, new Albany Letty Walter Park - 5345 St. Mary’s Road, Floyds Knobs Garry E. Cavan Park - 6845 Corydon Ridge Road, Georgetown Greenville Park - 6455 Buttontown Road, Greenville Galena-Lamb Park - 6220 U.S. Highway 150, Galena In addition, The New Albany-Floyd County Parks Department will be offering free compost at their maintenance office at 2409 Corydon Pike, New Albany, and at all of the drop off sites, except Sam Peden Park. For further information about the compost please call the Parks Department at 948-5363. |
