?    On Saturday, November 29, Boy Scout Troop 80 of Charlestown will hold their 16th annual chili supper and Christmas auction at St. Michael’s Catholic Church school building.
The chili supper begins at 5 p.m., followed by the auction at 7 p.m. One hundred percent of the money raised at this event benefits the Scouts of BSA Troop 80 and provides them with opportunities to experience outdoor adventures and develop skills which enable them to be productive young men in the community. Evidence of success among the youth can be measured by the many service projects and Eagle Scout Projects which have been completed in Charlestown and the surrounding area.
Come join them on this special evening for a hot bowl of chili, a home-baked dessert, an opportunity to find a special gift and an evening of enjoyment.
Auction items include a variety of gift baskets; gift certificates to local restaurants including Kingfish, Texas Roadhouse and others; admission to local attractions such as movie tickets, Holiday World, Louisville Zoo, Indianapolis Zoo, Indianapolis Children’s Museum, Louisville Science Center and Derby Dinner Playhouse; tickets to the Louisville Bats; sports memorabilia from the Cincinnati Reds, Indianapolis Colts and the Indiana Pacers; a wide variety of individual gift items and holiday decorating items including a pre-lit Christmas tree; and gift certificates for a manicure, pedicure, hair cuts and styles, automotive care, therapeutic message, and other services. Very special items this year include an autographed photo of Alan Jackson, a Garfield photograph signed by creator Jim Davis, a freestyle 20-inch boys bike and four one day hopper passes to Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida.
BSA Troop 80 would like to say a special thank you to Shepherd Auction Service and Chip Shepherd for providing his auction services for the past 15 years and to the Knights of Columbus for their continued financial support.
If you have any questions, or would like to make a donation for this event, please contact their Fundraising Committee Chairman, Lajuan Cross at 256-5851 or Donna Bowen at 256-2370.
