It’s that time of year again! St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, located in beautiful Starlight, Indiana, once again invites strawberry lover’s (young and old) to the 36th annual Strawberry Festival on Saturday, May 24, 2014. Come out and enjoy all the fun and delicious food that this gorgeous community has to offer.
Adults and children alike will love piling their berries high at the famous Build Your Own Strawberry Shortcake Station and will enjoy the wide variety of frozen strawberry fruit drinks. Delicious fair foods are always a big hit as well and those seeking a little more will not be disappointed by the buffet-style fried chicken and ham dinner. It’s complete with all the traditional fixings, including chicken & dumplings, homemade bread with strawberry butter, corn, slaw, green beans with new potatoes and dessert.
Bring the whole family out for a fun-filled day of food, family-friendly games, bounce house rides, arts and local crafts. There will be a soap box derby track, booth games, bingo and much more. Visitors
can also enjoy live entertainment throughout the day. Adults can join around the tables in the Wine & Beer garden to enjoy beer and award winning wine from Starlight’s own Huber’s Orchard, Winery, and Vineyards. Admission to the Strawberry Festival is free.
