|Sellersburg Celebrates! announces 2014 festival design|
The Sellersburg Celebrates! Planning Committee have been meeting since early 2014 preparing for the August festival. This year the committee held a design contest for the logo.
“We are pleased to announce the winner of this year’s logo design contest is Heather Phillips,” stated David Abbott, Public Relations Coordinator. “This is my first year working with Sellersburg Celebrates! and this committee is a great group of people to work with. They are truly excited about bringing the best festival to Sellersburg. We are extremely happy with this logo. Ms. Phillips did a fantastic job!”
Sellersburg Celebrates! will be held August 21-23 at Silver Creek Township Park in Sellersburg.
According to Abbott, entertainment for this year’s festival is already coming together thanks to the hard work of Terry Purlee.
“I know as of right now, we have The Louisville Crashers playing on Saturday night. This will be a great show as always. We will be able to announce more acts as plans are finalized,” Abbott stated. “The President of Sellersburg Celebrates!, Rick Cannon, and the Planning Committee have been working hard on a festival the community can be proud of to celebrate this year’s theme, Community Pride!”
He concluded, “We would like to congratulate Heather on the great design and thank her and all that entered a logo design for their entries.”
More events for Sellersburg Celebrates! will be announced as plans are finalized.
If you would like to volunteer for this year’s festival please attend the next meeting on Monday, May 19 at 7 p.m. The meeting will be held at Rock Creek Community Academy located at 11525 Highway 31N in Sellersburg.
