MANILLA E. MAUDLIN, 93, Salem, died Tuesday, April 29 at Autumn Woods Health Campus in New Albany.
She was born July 22, 1920 in Salem the daughter of Charles and Belva Naugle Tatlock. She was retired from Salem Title Company. She was a member of Salem United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Nelson Maudlin in 1987, a daughter, Freda Scheibe; a brother, Glenn Tatlock, a sister: Dessa Ball and 1 great-grandchild. She is survived by her son: David Maudlin (Chong Cha) of Jeffersonville, 6 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1:00PM at Salem United Methodist Church with Douglas Finney officiating. Burial will follow in Franklin Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4-8PM at Weathers Funeral Home and Thursday from Noon-time of service at the church.
DONALD R. BRADING, 62, Pekin, died Monday, April 28 at Floyd Memorial Hospital.
He was born July 26, 1951 in Salem the son of Leon and Edith Reynolds Brading. He was retired from the Indiana and Kentucky Carpenters Union. He was a Christian.
He is survived by his wife, Marsha Alexander Brading. They were married October 1, 1984. He is also survived by his daughter, Missy Brading Potter (Greg) of New Albany, three brothers, Ronald Brading (Rita) of Borden, Richard Brading (Missy) of Pekin, Lonnie Brading (Debbie) of Brandenburg, Kentucky and Michael Brading of Pekin; two sisters, Leonia Trett (Larry) of Salem and Katherine Burns (Larry) of Pekin; his mother, Edith Brading of Salem, six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Tammy Brading; a brother, Timothy Brading and his father, Leon Brading.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 2:00PM at Weathers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Bunker Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 10AM-time of service.
PAUL DAVID ROBISON, II, 62, of Austin, died Friday, April 11, 2014 at his residence.
He was born May 25, 1951 in Pensacola, Florida, of the late Paul David Robison and Marjorie Ruth (Cook) Robison.
Survivors include his sons, Chris Robison, Long Pond, PA and David Allen Robison, Schuylkill Haven, PA; daughter, Lea Robison, Greenville, South Carolina; brother, Mark Robison, Austin, Indiana.

ROSANNA LOUISE WEHMILLER, 81, of Seymour, died Monday, April 28, 2014, at Lutheran Community Home.
Born July 20, 1932, in Jackson County, she was the daughter of August and Anna Elizabeth (Barkman) Bode. On June 7, 1953 at Immanuel Lutheran Church she married Willis Wehmiller who survives. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. She was employed with Production Credit Association, Seymour National Bank, and later was secretary treasurer of Wehmiller Bulldozing.
Besides her husband she is survived by her children Dianna Thornbury, Michael (Cindy) Wehmiller, Bradley Wehmiller; grandchildren Ashley Nicole Wehmiller, Kara Ann Wehmiller, Brandon Scott Wehmiller; brother Carvin Bode; sister Doris Hackman; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and granddaughter Andrea Dawn Thornbury.
Funeral services will be held at Immanuel Lutheran Church on Friday, May 2, at 11:00 AM with Rev. Ralph Blomenberg, Rev. Philip Bloch, Rev. James Rodriguez, and Vicar Mark Huff officiating.
Burial will follow at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery. Family and friends may call at Voss Chapel on Thursday from 4:00-7:00 PM and on Friday at the church from 10:00 AM until time of service.

JOYCE P. ELLIOTT, 87, Salem, died April 29, 2014 at the Meadow View Health and Rehab Center in Salem.
She was born on September 14, 1926 in Pekin, she the daughter of Herman N. Gray and Rowena B. (Terrell) Gray. On February 14, 1948, she married Loren M. Elliott. She was a homemaker. She was a member of the Canton United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women's Group, and Friendly Homemaker's Club.
Survivors include; one son, Mark Elliott (Barbara) of Salem; two brothers, Bruce Gray and Donald Gray both of Salem; one sister, Sandra Sue Nichols of Salem; 2 grandsons, Travis Elliott (Beth) of New Albany, and Eric Elliott (Caroline) of Louisville; four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband.

He is a pharmacist and owner for 30 years of Northside Drugs in Columbus and for 10 years with Option Care; graduate of Scottsburg High School and was also a cheerleader; graduate of Purdue University School of Pharmacy1958. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Columbus; member of SPEBSQSA; Cardinal District Chairman for Barbershop Quartet organization; a mason of F&AM; a former Eagle Scout and a member of Kappa Psi Fraternity.
He is survived by his wife, Darla Christie; a daughter, Pennie C Barger (Steve), Louisville; a son, Dale Robert Christie, Columbus; grandchildren, Robert Lawson Barger (Amanda), Madeline Gregg (Patrick), Copeland Dale Christie; great-grandchildren, Evelyn Christie Gregg; a sister-in-law, Donna Hart; a niece, Nancy Lyles & Robin Christie Snelling; nephews, Mike Christie & Harold LaVant Hart.

She was born May 12, 1934 in Baldwin Park, California the daughter of Jacob Lester and Florence Reber Mead who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Walter Grecian; daughter, Betty Wells; special friend and soul mate, John Hankey; sisters, Gladys Helton, Loretta Denny, Thelma Baker and Julia Mead.

She was born on February 9, 1934 in English, the daughter of James Robert Sturgeon and Clara Marie (Foster) Sturgeon. On July 19, 1950, she married Kinder "Bud" Wininger.
She was a homemaker. She was a member of the Salem Church of the Nazarene.

RUSSELL WALKER PALMER, recently died in California.
He was born September 22, 1931, the eldest child of Clarence and Mabel (Amburgy) Palmer in Beattyville, Kentucky. In his elementary years he attended a one room schoolhouse in Long Shoal, Kentucky. He spent the first two years of high school living in town with his uncle who was the sheriff and had quarters over the jail. Another uncle and aunt took him to Indiana to live with them for his last two years of high school. He joined the Air Force in 1952 and was stationed at a radar base in Madera, CA. He met Mary Lou Chapman in Madera and they were married in 1953 spending the last 60 plus years together. He worked for San Joaquin Cotton Oil and was transferred to Bakersfield in 1964. Later he was manager of Rosedale Co-op Gin for many years. He finished his Ag career with Calcot. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Greenacres (now Grace Baptist) and served as an usher, treasurer, and deacon over the years. He also belonged to the Rosedale Highway Lion’s Club since 1964 serving as treasurer for over 35 years.
Preceding him in death were his parents, his brother Jimmy, and his sister Lucille.
He is survived by his wife Mary Lou and their children and spouses; Rodney Palmer (Margaret) , Rebecca Elrich ( Daryl), Richard Palmer ( Brenda); grandchildren Bethany Mayott (Ron), Nicholas Palmer (Riah), Brent Elrich, Doug Elrich (Amanda), Alex Palmer, Megan Palmer Pruski (Brandon); great granddaughter expected in July; and brother Rodger Palmer (Janet). He is also survived by his large extended family of nieces, nephews and cousins in Indiana and Kentucky.
Graveside services were Wednesday, April 30.

LOWELL EDWARD AMBURGEY, 73, of Scottsburg, died Thursday, May 1, 2014 at Clark Memorial Hospital in Jeffersonville.
He was born on November 28, 1940 in Lionelli, Kentucky, the son of the late Carl Edward and Stella (Stewart) Amburgey. He attended Silver Creek High School in Sellersburg. He was a retired machinist starting at the old International Harvestor in Louisville, then also worked at Peerless in Salem, and Navistar in Springfield, Ohio. He was a Christian and professed his faith in Jesus as Savior and Lord, was a U.S. Army veteran, a member of the American Legion Post # 234 where he enjoyed many friendships.
He was preceded in death by his parents and twin sisters, Barbara Weller and Pearlean Amburgey.
Survivors include his wife, Alice J. (Rueff) Amburgey; three sons, David Amburgey (Dianna) of Sandborn, Indiana, Brian Amburgey (Missy) and Michael Amburgey (Jennifer) all of Scottsburg; a sister, Zelma Scholl (Robert) of Memphis; a brother, Linville Amburgey (Kay) of Florida; seven grandchildren, Rickey Peltier (Jayne), Heather Wuthrich (Erik), Staci Helms (Jason), Zack Vandergriff, Logan, Shelby and Sydney Amburgey and five great-grandchildren, Ryan Peltier, Peyton and Parker Wuthrich and Kaden and Kysen Helms.

RAY GENE DONAHOE, 67, died at his home on Saturday, May 3, 2014.
He was born Feb. 7, 1947 in McNairy County Tennessee. He lived in Indiana since 1963. He was married for 48 years to Cathy Hughes Donahoe. He retired from West Clark Community Schools as a Custodian for 30 years. He was a bus driver for 40 years, a member of Sovereign Grace Baptist Church in Scottsburg and he graduated from Silver Creek High School in 1967.
He is survived by four children, Matthew Donahoe (Atlanta Georgia), Susan (Daniel) Smith (Henryville), Kevan Tabor (Niceville, Florida); his mother, Nora Lee Isbell Donahoe (Sellersburg); siblings, Roy Donahoe-Spouse Janie (Sellersburg), Judy Franklin-Spouse Steve (Sellersburg), Jimmie Sue Brown (Floyds Knobs) and Julia Harding-Spouse Dave (Sellersburg); nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

She was born March 30, 1911 in Pekin, the daughter of the late Alva Clarence and Myrtle Lillian (Trainer) Martin. She was a retired beautician and a member of the Salem Church Of Christ. She had been a life resident of Washington County, was a 1929 graduate of Pekin High School and was a member of A.A.R.P.
She married March 10, 1934 to Perry D. Cauble, who died February 9, 1971.
Survivors include two nieces, Suzanne Jackson, Columbus, Indiana and June Damon, New Salisbury, and a nephew, Eugene Temple, Memphis, Tennessee.
She was preceded in death by her foster son, William Baumann.
Funeral Service was Monday at Dawalt Funeral Home.
Interment followed at Mt. Washington Cemetery.

He was born on December 13, 1929 in Harlan, Kentucky to Milton and Lucy Bomar Powell. He was a Marine veteran of the Korean War and a retired mechanical engineer for General Electric where he worked for 37 years.

He was born June 29, 1981 in Madison the son of Danny & Cathy Ann Phillips Whitaker. He was a 1999 graduate of Southwestern High School and received an award for most artistic. He attended Ivy Tech College where he received an associate degree in networking. He was united in marriage to Angela Marie Skirvin on September 18, 2008 in Las Vegas, Nevada. He began his employment with Wendy’s restaurant where he spent eight years until he became a slot supervisor at Belterra Casino and Resort in 2004. He owned and operated "Witchboard World" an online business in 1999 that sold Ouija boards. He was a member of the NRA.

Funeral service will be Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at 8:00 p.m. at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison with burial in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Paynesville. Visitation will be Tuesday, May 6, 2014 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre 325 Demaree Drive in Madison.

DAVID P. OSTENSO, 73, of Salem, died April 30, 2014 at his residence.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Joan (Yerks) Ostenso.
He was a retired Boilermaker. He was a Marine Veteran. He received the Good Conduct Medal and Rifle Marksman Badge.
At his request, there will be no funeral service.

JAMES COUCH, 68, Crothersville, died May 2, 2014 in Crothersville.
He was born, Feb. 16, 1946 in Hazard, KY, the son of Ester Couch & Gladys Miller Couch. He retired from Morgan’s in Austin and was a U. S. Navy veteran.
Survivors include Mary Couch, Austin; a son, James Kenneth Couch (Mary), Austin; daughter: Pamela Sue Napier (Richard), Crothersville; brothers, Michael Couch, Crothersville, Harold Couch, Crothersville, Mack Couch, Little York; sisters, Lois Peacock, FL, Brenda Campbell, Austin, Minnie Davidson, Crothersville, Maxine Hamilton, Crothersville and Phyllis Brock, Crothersville; grandchildren, Joshua Couch, Samantha Gates, Danyelle Peacock, Cory McDonald and great-grandchildren, Kendra Gates, Katherine Gates, Connor McDonald.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Larry Couch, Leon Couch, Don Couch; sister Janice Fugate.
Funeral services will be at 11 AM Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at Stewart & Hoagland Funeral Home. Visitation will be 4-8 PM Tuesday, May 6, 2014 and 9-11 AM Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at Stewart & Hoagland Funeral Home.
