A jury trial has been scheduled in Scott Superior Court for Tony Curtis Combs, 51, Crothersville, on three counts of possession of a precursor by a methamphetamine offender.

All of the charges are Class D felonies.

Combs has been wanted on an arrest warrant since February 26. Indiana State Trooper Shannon Burton filed a probable cause affidavit with the Scott County Prosecutor’s Office advising that Combs was sentenced for dealing in methamphetamine in 2009 in a case in Scott Circuit Court. A study of purchasing records at various pharmacies and drugstores in Scottsburg and Austin revealed that Combs had bought pseudoephedrine 16 times since May, 2012, the officer stated.

When Combs appeared for an initial hearing on March 20, Judge Marsha Owens Howser set the trial date and bail at $15,000 corporate surety bond/$1,500 cash bail.

Combs’ case has been assigned to a public defender.
