A pre-season test & tune session on both the infield short-track and the half-mile high banked oval is set for Saturday, March 22nd at Salem Speedway Fueled by the Hoosier Lottery reports track management.
The three-hour practice session is open to all Salem divisions and any traveling series scheduled to compete at Salem during the 2014 season. PNC pit gates are scheduled to open at 10:30 a.m., with practice getting underway at 12-noon.
Spectators are invited to view the activities from the grandstand area at no charge.
The 2014 Salem Speedway Fueled by the Hoosier Lottery season gets underway on Sunday afternoon, April 6th with the ICA Dumpsters Short-Track Festival. The O’Reilly Auto Parts Pure Stocks and the Portland Recycling Front Wheel Drive Stocks are the featured divisions. The front wheel drive cars will be competing on both the oval and figure 8 track on April 6th.
The Lucas Oil Great American Stocks see their first action of the season at Salem on Saturday and Sunday, April 26-27, as part of the Federated Auto Parts ARCA 200.
Five Star Race Car Bodies and Salem Speedway Fueled by the Hoosier Lottery announced that the Twin Lakes, Wisconsin company will continue its support of the Lucas Oil Great American Stock division for the upcoming season.
Five Star Race Car Bodies will award a $900 product certificate to a driver in the Lucas Oil Great American Stock division who participates in at least 80 percent of the 2014 scheduled races. A random drawing will be held at the 2014 Salem Awards Banquet to determine the winner.
