Pre-enrollment of Kindergarten students for the fall of 2014 and first grade students (that are not presently enrolled in kindergarten) will be on April 2, 2014 at 9:00 a.m. through 6:30 p.m. at Morgan Elementary School. Parents and guardians are asked to go to the school office to enroll their student. A short academic assessment of enrolling children will be done during pre-enrollment.
A child must be 5 years of age on or before August 1st, to enroll in kindergarten and 6 years of age on or before August 1st, to enroll in the first grade. Parents must bring an official birth certificate from the Health Department for your child at the time of registration.
Hospital birth certificates cannot be accepted. Parents will receive dental and medical forms, which are to be filled out by the dentist and doctor and returned to the school before classes begin in August.
State law requires the following proof of immunization DTap, Polio, Hepatitis B, MMR and Varicella (Chickenpox) by enrollment. No child will be permitted to attend school unless he or she is either fully immunized or has begun his immunization and produced a schedule for completion which has been signed by a physician.
Kindergarten students now enrolled at Morgan are automatically enrolled in first grade and need not register.
