The Charlestown High School Athletic Department, this Friday night just prior to the tip of the home boys basketball game versus Brownstown, will recognize and honor the three student athletes who earned top Indiana All-Star honors last school year.

The three new All-Star Honorees are Chris Braun (Boys Tennis), Aaron Daniel (Football), and Alli Webster (Softball).

These three CHS All-Stars join the ranks of previous Pirate and Lady Pirate All-Stars Kem Martin (1976), Richard Lanham (1990), Kristin Mattox (1992), Abby Conklin (1993), BJ Steele (1999), and Chris Brady (2007).

During Friday night’s recognition ceremony, all three All-Star Honorees will have their framed Indiana All-Star Portrait and All-Star jersey unveiled before being hung on the Pirate and Lady Pirate All-Star Wall of the CHS Sports Arena. The 2013-14 school year marks the first time in Charlestown HS history that three All-Stars were named in the same school year. During the combined CHS athletic careers of these three new All-Star honorees, they account for over 43 new school athletic records in their respective sports of Boys Tennis, Football and Softball.

Friday Night’s historic ceremony is definitely a moment none of Pirate Nation would want to miss.

The Pirate Basketball team hosts Mid Southern Conference rival Brownstown in the CHS Sports Arena Friday night with a 6 p.m. Junior Varsity tip off.

The All-Star Recognition ceremony will take place following the Junior Varsity contest and just before the Varsity tip off, which will occur between 7:15 and 7:30 p.m.
