The IU Southeast men’s basketball team has moved to No. 2 in the country in the latest NAIA Division II Men’s Basketball Coaches’ Poll, announced by the national office Tuesday.

The No.2 ranking is IU Southeast’s highest in school history. The Grenadiers (13-3, 7-0 KIAC) received five first-place votes and are only six points behind new No. 1 team Cardinal Stritch (17-3) in the ratings.

Cardinal Stritch (Wis.) defeated IU Southeast in semifinals of last year’s national tournament en route to winning the national championship.

IU Southeast is riding an eight-game winning streak and has won 28-straight games at home. The Grenadiers lead the country in scoring at 98.1 points per game.

IU Southeast travels to Berea College tomorrow at 7:30 p.m.
