Two positions are open at the New Albany-Floyd County Consolidated School Corporation for Technical Theatre Assistants. The locations are Floyd Central High School and New Albany High School. Applicants will report to their respective high school theatre director.
Responsibilities includes coordinating all technical aspects of production, including lighting, sound and set construction; plans and coordinates all productions strikes; maintains all technical theatre equipment; creates and teaches lessons of basic competencies of stagecraft curriculum; oversees and provides mentoring to stage managers and technical crew members; maintains the auditorium, stage and theatre workshop; coordinates and obtains materials for productions; operates, maintains and safeguards all technical equipment; orders and maintains technical theatre supplies; participates in pre-production meetings; coordinates, supervises and directs technical theatre students; collaborates with other performing arts teachers and adult assistants; and all other duties as assigned by the high school director.
As a condition of employment, the successful applicant will be required to prove eligibility for employment in the United States under the Federal Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986. Each applicant will be required to provide a satisfactory, current Limited Criminal History (LCH).
