Lexington man, female companion arrested for drug- related offenses in Clark County PDF Print E-mail

A Lexington man and his female companion were arrested by Indiana State Police troopers in Clark County early on Tuesday morning, December 10.

Donald Eugene York Jr., 47, and Amy Michelle Hether, 39, Charlestown, were taken into custody shortly before 3 a.m. after the 2002 Chevy Silverado pickup truck being driven by Hether was stopped for a traffic violation on State Road 403 at Greenleaf Road.

The pickup reportedly traveled left of the center line, attacting the attention of Troopers Rob Caudill and Nathan Abbott.

Methamphetamine, unidentified controlled substances and drug paraphernalia were located in the truck by the officers, according to an ISP report released by the Sellersburg post.

Both were transported to Clark County Jail in Jeffersonville.

York’s preliminary charges inlcuded dealing in a controlled substance and dealing in methamphetamine, both Class B felonies; possession of a controlled substance, possession of methamphetamine and maintaining a common nuisance, all Class D felonies; and possession of drug paraphernalia, a Class A misdemeanor.

Hether’s charges were to include dealing in a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, possession of methamphetamine, maintaining a common nuisance, and possession of drug paraphernlia.

Each was expected to have a court hearing during the latter part of the week at which charges would be ann ounced and bail set.
