The annual Structured Family Care Giving (SFC) appreciation reception was held on November 14th at the Blue River Services Washington Center in Salem.  The Structured Family Care Giving residents were recognized for their personal achievements over this past year. Refreshments were served followed by an awards program. A power point presentation was shown of all the residents throughout the year by Murie Medlock, SFC Manager.  The residents enjoyed the opportunity to visit with the other residents and householders for the remainder of the evening.
One SFC resident is selected and acknowledged as the “Consumer of the Year”. Ron Langford from New Salisbury was selected for his outstanding achievements. Ron has experienced a challenging past few years but has remained positive during the most difficult times.  Householders are recognized for their years of service to Blue River Services ranging from one to twenty three years.  Mary Cook was selected as “Householder of the Year”.  Mary has been a householder for over six years and continues to provide excellent care to the individuals that reside with her.
