The Salvation Army, at 2300 Green Valley Road in New Albany, will be taking applications for Christmas assistance (food, clothing and toys) beginning Monday, November 11, and continue through Friday, November 22. The applications will be taken from 9 am to 1 pm, Monday through Friday. In addition, applications will also be taken on Thursday evenings from 4 to 7 pm.

Those applying will need to bring the following:

Proof of rent (copy of lease with all family members listed)

Proof of income (TANF, food stamps, disability, employment, unemployment, child support)

Proof of address (utility bill)

I.D. on each person in the household (Indiana I.D.s on adults, social security cards on everyone)

Proof of date of birth on all children (birth certificates)

Sizes for children through age 16

This program is for residents of Floyd, Clark, Scott, Washington and Crawford counties.

Harrison County residents must apply for the Angel Tree program (clothing) and toys at Community of Hope Church of the Nazarene, 1500 Corydon Ramsey Road, in Corydon.
