Scott County School District 2 is exploring a balanced calendar as an option for the school year calendar. SCSD2 would like to gather input from those people that this will affect.

Adults and Businesses are encouraged to  please take a minute to give the school district their questions, comments, or concerns, they would greatly appreciate it.

The balanced calendar model that SCSD2 is exploring is a 9 week quarter, 2 week Fall Break, 9 week quarter, 2 week Christmas break, 9 week quarter, 2 week Spring Break, 9 week quarter. There would still be a summer vacation of approximately 6 weeks. The survey link can be found at www.scsd2.k12.in.us  and is under the “Students and Parents” tab. It is the third link down in that tab and is titled, “Balanced Calendar Survey”.

“I want to stress that this is just an exploratory survey and that no decision has been made at all. We are just beginning to talk about it and explore it and want to make sure that we leave no stone unturned. We want to get a good representation from our business and adult community,” noted Scott County School District 2 Superintendent Marc Slaton.
