Antiques, collectibles, household items, bargains, all can be brought at the Ladies Union Club’s fall flea market that will be held on Friday, November 1 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday, November 2 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The ladies will serve sandwiches, soup, homemade pies, and drinks both days. Proceeds will go toward the schoolhouse maintenance.
The Ladies Union club, formed in 1905, has been maintaining the clubhouse since purchasing the building in 1924 when the one-room schoolhouse consolidated with a neighboring school.
The club, which presently has 16 members, is proud of its recent repairs including new siding, painted side porches, roof repair, and more. Because of the uniqueness of this building, it is a favorite place for groups to rent for festive occasions. It has been rented for reunions, showers, receptions and holiday gatherings.
Anyone wishing to inquire about rental about the building an do so by calling Pat Back at 246-9858 or Janet Goodwin at 246-8142.
The Ladies Union Club is located at 6348 Charlestown Pike between Salem-Noble Road and Indiana 62.
