The Salem High School football team moved back to the positive side of .500 Friday with a 26-6 win over visiting Clarksville last Friday. 
Salem took control of the game early and then scored 18 unanswered points to close it out.
The Lions will travel to Charlestown Friday to battle the Pirates.
Salem has a four game losing streak going against the Charlestown.
Senators struggle
After escaping from the Springs Valley game with a win, West Washington looked to keep their undefeated season alive against Paoli last Friday.
The Senators fell behind early and never were in the game against the Rams.
West Washington will now return home Friday to take on Tecumseh.
The game has a 7:30 p.m. start time.
Panthers beat EHS
For most of the first half, Friday’s Mid Southern Conference Showdown between visiting Corydon and Eastern was a seven-point game.
The Panthers were finally able to gain some traction in the pouring rain to run away with the contest, 35-0.
