The 2013 Old Settlers’ Days Festival will be held on September 21st and 22nd in Salem Indiana on the grounds of the John Hay Center. The Old Settlers’ Days Festival will once again be focused on wholesome family activities with a special emphasis on teaching and sharing the pioneer heritage of Washington County.

Schedule Subject to Change.

Saturday September 21st Old Settlers’ Days Schedule:

10:00am:  Opening Ceremonies

-Presentation of colors

-Pledge of Allegiance/Invocation

-National Anthem

-21 gun salute to Old Settlers Days demonstrators who’ve passed

-Dixie (Village Green)

10:30am: Reverend John Williams Presentation (Village Green)

11:00am: James Whitcomb

Riley (Village Green)

11:30-12:30 Corydon Dulcimer Society (Village Green)

12:00pm:  Oliver P. Morton (Depot)

12:30pm:  Mrs. Stonewall Jackson (Depot)

1:00pm:  Prohibition Era Still Raid (Village Barn)

1:30pm: Naming of Salem Skit (Village Green)

2:00pm: Lincoln Gettysburg Address (Depot)

2:20pm: Musician Tom Rasley (Depot)

4:00pm: Naming of Salem Skit  (Village Green)

5:00pm: Lincoln State Dinner* (Steven’s Museum Basement)

5:00pm: The Short Notice Band Performs (The Depot)

7:00pm: Bear Stories (Village Green)
