BRIGITTE REHBERG NICCUM, 72, Scottsburg, died Saturday, August 24, 2013 at King's Daughters' Hospital.
She was born on February 7, 1941 in Frankfurt, Germany to Hans Jacob and Emilia Matthai Rehberg. She worked as a chemist with Degousa in Frankfort where she also attended Chemist School.
Survivors include her husband, Francis "Frank" E. Niccum of Scottsburg, Indiana; her loving son, Jurgin Niccum and his wife, Patricia of Germany; her daughter, Andrea Johnson and her husband, Vernis of Scottsburg, Indiana; her brother, Claus Rehberg of Germany; her sister, Renata Rehberg of Germany; her grandchildren, Milia & Samuel Niccum; Emilie Johnson, Cilena Turley, Michael Elliott and Sheena Johnson; her great grandchild, Aiden Turley; several nieces, nephews and other relatives . She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Irena Rehberg, and brother Hans Rehberg.
By her request, no public services will be held.

JOHN LEWIS WEDDLE, 85, Charlestown, died Monday, August 27, 2013 at his home.
He was born on March 15, 1928 to John and Georgia Phillippi Weddle in Clark County. He was a retired meat packer for Armour Meat Packing in Louisville, a U.S. Marine Veteran of the Korean War, member of the American Legion Post 335, and a member of the Mt. Lebanon Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include his his wife, Verna “Marie” (Morrison) Weddle; daughters, Sue Weddle of Charlestown, and Judy Moss (Jim) of Alexandria, Ky.; son, Chris Weddle of Jeffersonville; brother, Ben Weddle of New Washington; grandchildren, Shana Cress (Scott), Jonathan Moss, Brett Moss, Kelsey Moss, and Christopher Weddle; great-granddaughter, Penelope Rose Cress. He is preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Clara Franklin, and Grace Franklin; brother, Albert Weddle.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, September 1, 2013 at 2pm at the Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown, with burial to follow in the Crown Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 12pm to 8pm, and after 10am on Sunday.

MUREL “MAMMOO” AMBURGEY, 76, Austin, died Monday, August 26, 2013.
She was born on January 1, 1937 in Yerkeys, Ky. to the late Estes and Myrtle Colwell. She had worked many jobs including The Austin Pharmacy, KBR soda shoppe and Grace Covanent Church. She attended the old Regular Baptist Church of Charlestown.
She is survived by a daughter. Misse (Greg) Sebastian, Grandaughters Madison Sebastian, Alisha (Shane Batman) Hollan. Great-Grandson Brighten Batman and Great-Grandaughter Madeline Batman. Sisters: Juanita Stidham of Austin, Thelma (John) Bush of Gastonia,NC, Telvis (Dick) Ashenfeltner of Port Orange, FL. Brothers: Raymond Colwell of Salem,VA., Bobby Colwell of Fort Walden Beach, FL., James (Carolyn) Cowell of Holiday Island, AK., Mike (Rise’) Cowell of Upland, IN. And her best friend: Elbert Hall.
She was proceeded in death by her 1st husband Dewey Herald and her 2nd husband Rufus Amburgey. Sisters: Freida Stidham and Carlie Stollings. Her Brothers: Arvel Colwell and Zke Colwell.
Visitation will be Wednesday August 28, 2013 at Buchanan Funeral Home from 5 to 8 P.M. and Thursday August 29, 2013 after 9 A.M.
Her Funeral will be Thursday August 29, 2013 at 11 A.M. at Buchanan Funeral Home Burial will be in the Ivy Hill Cemetery, Underwood, Indiana.
MARTHA “MARGO” WEBER WEHMILLER, 76, of Seymour, formerly of the Crothersville/ Tampico area, died Monday, August 26, 2013 at her home.
She was born February 26, 1937 in Seymour, Indiana. She was the daughter of the late Ernest Weber and Virginia Greene Collins. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Seymour and Coffee Creek Conservation Club.
Survivors include five children and their spouses, Linda Smith of Seymour, Marcia (Kenny) Lynn of Seymour, Jennifer Jo (Hal) Montgomery of Seymour, Teresa (Barry) Short of Paris Crossing, Indiana, & Lucinda (Harry) Howe of Seymour, nine grandchildren, Courtney Justin Lynn of Seymour, Victoria (Jason) Poole of Seymour, Charity (Tanner) Street of Austin, IN, Jake Stice of Seymour, Jarod Wince of Seymour, Tristan Short of Paris Crossing, Trea Short of Paris Crossing, & Brandy (Larry) Burdine of Seymour, nine great grandchildren, Rhonda Parks of Salem, Indiana, Tyson Henson of Salem, Nichloas & Joseph Zagata, Seymour, Britney Butler of Seymour, Angel Katelynn Poole of Seymour, Gabriel Lee Poole of Seymour., Delaney Jo Street of Austin , & Kaisac Stice of Seymour.
Her husband, Marlin L. Wehmiller, her daughter, Pamela Payton and two granddaughters Tiffaney Stice & Tammy Riley preceded her in death.

He was born December 1, 1930 in Altro, KY, of the late James Spicer and Jane Smith Spicer. He was the Pastor at House of Prayer in Austin, Indiana.
Survivors include: His Wife, Lois Jean (Colwell) Spicer; Sons: Tim Spicer, Clarksville, Indiana, Tom Spicer, Scottsburg, Indiana, and Randy Martin, Harrisburg, Pa.; Daughters: Tammy Rice, Austin, Indiana and Betsy Greenwell, Floyd Knobs; Brother: Everitt Spicer, Austin; Sister: Jean Helton, Austin. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, 4 brothers, Hershall, Virgil, Ed, and Frank Spicer, 3 sisters, Vennie McIntosh, Mary McWilliams, and Susan McIntosh.
Funeral Service will be at 1:00 pm Friday, 8/30/2013 at the House of Prayer with Rev. Nicky Spicer and Rev. Glen Waldonr officiating. Burial will be in the Spurgeon Cemetery.

BRYAN E. FRAKES, 54, Corydon, died Tuesday, August, 27, 2013 at his home.
He was born in Corydon, August 20, 1959. He was a fork lift operator for ICON in Corydon.
Survivors include his son- Jonathan Frakes of Maryland; his parents- Shirley Emily Ferriell and Papa John Ferriell of Corydon; his Sisters- Dee Albers (Kevin) and Tonya McKim (Daniel), both of Corydon, and Tina Fulkerson (Willie) of Lanesville; his Grandchildren- Kaleb and Jayden Frakes, both of Corydon.
There will be a celebration of life held at 3 pm Saturday, September, 28 2013 at the home of his sister Dee.

W. MAE MILLS, 76, Corydon, died Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at Harrison County Hospital.
She was born in Louisville on August 24, 1937 to Finis and Wilda Meredith Allison. She was the custodian at the New Middletown Elementary School for over 19 years.
Survivors include her son- Duke Mills (Cindy) of Borden; her daughters- Allison Jennings (Ched) of Louisville, Vickey Ashton (John) and Billie Jo Redden (Jeff), both of Corydon, and Belinda Wright (Diane) of Charlestown; her sister- Ethel Hinton of Jeffersonville; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband- Bill Mills.
Her children are honoring her wishes by choosing cremation only with no visitation or service. Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon are handling the arrangements.

ROBERT FRANKLIN “BOB” MURPHY, 94 of Scottsburg, died Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at Scott Memorial Hospital.
He was born on February 24, 1919 in Scott Countyto the late Samuel Scott and Ethel (Ray) Murphy. He worked as an Assistant Bridge Maintenance Engineer for I.N.D.O.T. in Seymour, retiring after 27 years, and was a farmer. He was a member of Zoah Christian Church and served during World War II in the U.S. Navy.
Survivors include his wife, Lillian Agnes (Wells) Murphy; three sons, Robert S. Murphy of Franklin, Ind., Michael P. Murphy and his wife Annette and Teddy D. Murphy and his wife Melanie all of Scottsburg; four daughters, Regina Pastrick and her husband George of Columbus, Sonja Baldridge and her husband Kenneth of Louisville, Nancy Swank and Linda Murphy, both of Scottsburg; 14 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a grandson, a great grandson and three brothers: Ray, Leland and Samuel Murphy.
Funeral Service: 11:00 am Saturday at Collins Funeral Home with burial in Scottsburg Cemetery. Visitation: 2 to 8 pm Friday and after 9 am Saturday.

DAVID CLARK “CORKY” COPELAND, 73, Bedford, Ky., formerly Canaan, died Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at The Waters of Clifty Falls.
He was born November 14, 1939 in Moorefield, Ind. to Steve and Agnes Graham Copeland. He had worked at Reliance Electric.
Survivors include 2 sons, David Clark Copeland, Jr. and his wife, Dana of Bedford, James Allen Copeland and his wife, Lee of Kent; 3 daughters, Deborah Sue Reece and her husband, Delbert of Madison, Shammara Copeland of Denver, Colo., LaDonna McWhortor and her husband, Fred of New Albany; 3 sisters, Frances Robbins of Madison, Indiana, Myrtle Smith of Madison, Wanda Ayler of Madison; 3 brothers, Robert Copeland of Versailles, George Copeland of Madison, Richard Copeland of Madison; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Grover Cleveland Copeland, Sr. and Alva Copeland, his sisters, Annabell Drake and Georgia Day.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 31, 2013 at 7 pm at Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre. Burial will follow at Bedford I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Bedford, Ky.
Visitation will take place from 5 pm until the time of services on Saturday.

SHIRLEY JEAN CHESTER, 74, of Charlestown, died Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at her daughter’s home in Lebanon Junction, KY.
She was born on August 24, 1939 in Ohio County, KY to Donley and Geneva Leach Raley. She was the former manager of the old B & T Soda Fountain on the square in Charlestown for several years. She was a member of the Mount Zion Baptist Church in Ohio County.
Survivors include her daughters, Janice Marie Hazlett and her husband Joe of Lebanon Junction, KY and Danielle Cooper and her husband Bill of Charlestown, IN; sons, Steve Morris and his wife Pat of Gulf Breeze, FL, Daniel Chester Jr. and Douglas Chester and his wife Heather both of Charlestown, IN; sisters, Kay Kuntz of Louisville, KY and Mary Coy of Pensacola, FL; eleven grandchildren, Billy McAnelly, Tyson, Serena, Stephen, Nick, D. J., Billy Cooper, Tristan, Alex, Heidi and Justin; seven great-grandchildren, Kayla, Jeremy, Andrew, Tru, Rylee, Melody and McKayla. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Jeanette Roach and brother Danny Raley.
