ORLAN FRED GREEN, 93, Madison, died Monday, August 19, 2013 at the Hanover Health & Rehab Center.
He was born on October 14, 1919 in Madison to Fred and Nora Stewart Green. He had work at Williamson Heater in Madison as a sand blast operator, farmed all of his life, and was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his son, John O. Green and his wife, Lenora of Madison, Indiana; his daughter, Mary Patricia Neely and her husband, Jim of Dupont; his grandchildren, Pam Green, Tony Neely, Aaron Green, Jason Neely, Laura Jaynes, Ross Neely and Calin Neely; eight great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife: Laurette Consuela Wilson Green; his granddaughter, Elizabeth Neely, his sister in law, Burdean Gray; his brother, Cias Green, Glenn Green & Cecil Green; his sisters, Elaine Gray, Opal Cole, Susie Richardson & Geneva Demumbren.
Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Thursday, August 22, 2013 at Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre. A final salute will be conducted at 11:30 am by the Jefferson Post 9 of the American Legion at Kent Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 pm on Wednesday, August 21, and from 9 am until the time of services on Thursday.
The family requests memorial contributions be made to Kent Cemetery.


MAUREEN V. SMITH LAMB, 77, died Sunday, August 18, 2013.
She was born on August 9, 1936 in Coventry, England to the late Ernest and Vera Hemmings Smith. She attended Pfrimmer’s Chapel UMC in Corydon and was talented with her needlework, knitting and crafts.
She is survived by her daughters, Roma J. Lamb, Beverley Gooselaw (Don Goecke); sisters, Pauline DePrez, Brenda Barrett (Barney); granddaughter and grandson, Jessica and PJ Walter; great-granddaughters, Madelynne and Annabelle Walter. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Arthur R. “The Englishman” Lamb.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1 pm on Saturday, August 24, 2013 at Pfrimmer’s Chapel UMC (505 Pfrimmer’s Chapel Road NE, Corydon). Cremation was chosen.
The family requests that memorial contributions be made to Wayside Christian Mission, 432 E. Jefferson Street, Louisville KY 40202.

BRENDA MULLINS CARRUTHERS, Seymour, died Monday, August 19, 2013.
She was born June 10, 1951, in Hazard, Ky. to Willie Jent and Hazel Deaton Prewitt. She ran a daycare in her home for many years. After getting licensed by the State, she provided home health care for many patients.
She is survived by her husband, Terry Carruthers, Seymour, her mother, Hazel Prewitt, Uniontown, her children, Timothy “Tim” Baurle and girlfriend, Tracey Nolan, Seymour, Thomas “Tom” Baurle, Jennings County, Tammy (Lance) VanDoren, Seymour, her grandchildren, Faith (Chris) Collins, Bedford, Erikah (Warren) Bennett, Seymour, Dezahree Baurle, Indianapolis, Kenneth “Kenny” Baurle & Mark Baurle, Jennings County, Brittany & Brandon VanDoren, Seymour, a sister, Debbie Alexander of Seymour, a brother, Harold (Betty) Jent, Uniontown, a sister Lucy (Steve) Trapp, Uniontown, a brother Greg (Betty) Jent, Jennings County, a brother, Mike Jent, Uniontown, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Baurle Sinclair VanDoren, her father and stepmother Willie (Caroline) Jent, her step father, Jackie Prewitt and two husbands David Baurle and Thomas Mullins Sr.
Adams Funeral Home in Crothersville will provide cremation services. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family or the American Cancer society c/o Adams Funeral Home & Crematory, 110 E. Howard Street, Crothersville, IN 47229.
Friends may visit the family on Thursday from 1:00PM until 3:00PM at Mountain Baptist Church, 4604 US Highway 31, Seymour, IN 47274. JAMES R. HART, 79, of Scottsburg died Tuesday, August 20, 2013 at Hampton Oaks Health Campus.
He was born on April 19, 1934 in Crivitz, Wis., the son of the late Lloyd V. and Elsie H. Tetley Hart. He was a retired heavy equipment operator for the old Scott County Stone Company, also a retired school bus driver for Scott County School Dist. # 2, a member of the New Life Assembly and a retired member of the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 181.
Survivors include his wife, Bertha M. Gray Hart; four sons, Robert A. Hart and his wife Sue of Scottsburg, Ronald L. Hart and his wife Bonnie of Fishers, Ind., Gary L. Hart and his wife Kathleen of Carmel, Ind. and Billy J. Hart and his wife Megan of Indianapolis;  a brother and sister, Walter and Norma Jean Hart both of Orleans; 13 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, David Hart and a brother, John Hart.
Funeral Service: 11:00 am Saturday at Collins Funeral Home with burial in Scottsburg Cemetery.  Visitation: 5 to 8 pm Friday and after 10 am Saturday.

ANITA ANN SINCLAIR, 55, of Charlestown, died Thursday, August 22, 2013 at Clark Memorial Hospital.
She was born on April 7, 1958 to Albert and Doris Nash Boling in Scottsburg. She was a factory worker for Amazon, and a member of the Hibernia Christian Church.
Survivors include her husband, Tommy Sinclair; sons, Donald Eglin of Norfolk, Va., Thomas Eglin of Fla., and Michael Luckett of Boston, Mass.; brother, James Boling of New Washington; sisters, Carolyn Brison of Charlestown, Sharon Roberts of Otisco, and Judy Beeler of Charlestown; Step-daughter, Tammy West of Brandenburg, Ky.; and grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday, August 26, 2013 at 7pm at the Grayson Funeral Home in New Washington, IN.

JAMES EDWARD HELTON, 49, Marengo, died Wednesday,  August 21, 2013  at his residence.
He was born August 31, 1963 in Scottsburg. He was an employee of Jasper Engines in Jasper.

Funeral Service were held Saturday, August 24, 2013 at Buchanan Funeral Home with Rev. Damon Marling officiating. Burial followed at Spurgeon Cemetery in Austin.

CARLOS Q. NEWSOME, 65, of Salem, died Friday, August 23 at 9:50AM at St. Vincent Hospital.
He was born May 14, 1948 in Seco, Ky. to John Q. Newsome and Delphia Mae Barnes Newsome Quillen. He was a former employee of Childcraft.
Survivors include his wife:  Edith Cook Newsome; sons:  Rusty Newsome, Rodney Woodrow Newsome and Randy Leon Newsome all of Salem; daughters:  Regina Wilson, Carrie Lewis and Jeannie Russell all of Salem; brothers:  Bernard Newsome of Milport and Harvey Meade of French Lick; sisters:  Betty Collier and Nyoka Brough both of Salem; 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother:  Henry Newsome.
Funeral services were held Monday at Weathers Funeral Home. Burial followed in Crown Hill Cemetery.


JEROME F. “ROMIE” HENTRUP, 84, of Floyds Knobs, died Saturday, August 24, 2013 at his home with his family by his side.
He was born on April 25, 1929 in Dubois County to the late Frank and Rosa (Theising) Hentrup. He was a lifetime farmer and a retired concrete finisher.
He is survived by children, Janet Horn, Rita Burns (Robert), Peggy Rose Grangier (Steve), Jerome Hentrup, Lisa Hentrup; 13 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Margaret F. (Kaelin) Hentrup; step-son, David W. Reynolds; siblings, Rosella, Alois, Veronica “Froni,” Berneda “Bernie,” Urban, Leona, Gilbert “Gip,” Wilford “Willie,” Ralph, and Theresa.
His Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 AM on Wednesday in the chapel at St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church (5719 St. Mary's Road, Floyds Knobs, IN) with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2 to 8 PM Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany).

SANDRA IRENE DAILEY MCKINNEY, 61, Jeffersonville, died Friday August 23, 2013 at Hillcrest Village.
She was born on December 7, 1951 in Kings City, Calif. to Everett and Rita Morris Dailey who preceded her in death.
Survivors include her sons; James R. McKinney of Borden, Jason and Juston Johnson both of Charlestown. brother; Herman Dailey of Carefree, Ind., sisters; Mary O’Rouke of Charlestown and Terri Dailey or Eureka, Calif., grandchildren; Eddie ,Deanna and David McKinney, Damon Sturdivant and Jordon Johnson.
Memorial services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, August 31, 2013 at Bethany Christian Church in Charlestown, with burial in Union Cemetery.

SOPHA SAMPLES, 80,  Crothersville, died Friday,  August 23, 2013  in  Salem.
She was born August 31, 1932 in Cow Creek, Ky., to the late Ace  Spencer  and Grace  (McIntosh) Spencer. She was retired from Cummins Engine Company in Columbus and was a member of the Bethany Baptist Church  Crothersville.
Survivors include: Daughters: Wanda Campbell, Seymour; Linda Samples, Louisville;  Son: Gary (Cynthia) Samples, Centerville, Ind. She is also survived by four grandchildren, and a great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her Sisters: Norma Redifer, Margaret Nowling and Sue McCulley.
Funeral Service were held Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at Buchanan Funeral Home in Austin with Rev. Bob Flynn officiating. Burial followed in the Crothersville Cemetery.


BILLY RAY COUCH, 62, Nabb, died Friday, August 23, 2013.
He was born April 26, 1951 in Ary, Ky. to William and Cynthia Combs Couch. He was retired from Cummins Engine as a research journeyman and a veteran of the U.S. Army Reserve.
Survivors include his wife: Janet Couch, Nabb, Daughter: Lisa Marie Craig (Robert), Scottsburg, Step daughter: Brandi Kay Jones (Shawn), Jeffersonville, Son: Nathan Ryan Couch (Michelle), Scottsburg, Step son: Kyle Lee Noble, Bangkok Thailand, Sisters: Betty Matthews, Sellersburg, Joan Dehart, Sellersburg, Carole Scifres, Bloomington, Vivian Baker, Scottsburg, Grandchildren: Natalie Marie Craig, Sydney Craig, Alexia Jones, Keira Clifford, Justin Smith, Kaleb Smith, Olivia Pennington, Kyle Allman, Breana Allman. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his sisters: Dena Cole and Brenda Chavies.
Funeral services were held Sunday, August 25, 2013 at Stewart & Hoagland Funeral Home. Burial followed at Wesley Chapel Cemetry in Austin.

BONNIE KAY FURNISH, 63, Seymour, died Saturday, August 24, 2013 at St. Francis Hospital in Indianapolis.
She was born on July 25, 1950 in Lebanon, Ky., to Elizabeth Mattingly (Smothers) Chapel of Lebanon, and James Mattingly who is deceased. She worked as a supervisor at Fort Harrison Bowling Alley for 16 years. She was a member of Uniontown Baptist Church and the American Legion in Seymour.
Survivors include 2 daughters, Theresa A. (Denny) Eversole of Crothersville, IN, & Pennie A. (Kip) Furnish Hooper of Seymour, 7 grandchildren, Michael Romero, Shawn Romero, Zachary Romero, all of Seymour, Ashley Clemenz, Amanda Clemenz, Amber Clemenz, & Marshall Eversole, all of Crothersville.  3 great grandchildren, Rayna Romero of Seymour, IN, Christian Romero of Seymour, & Christopher Stanley of Crothersville, 1 brother, Mark Mattingly of Lebanon, Kentucky, nieces and nephews, David Mattingly, Robbie Mattingly, Beth, Mattingly, Jennifer Jones, Kim Funez, Natalie Mattingly, Nicholas Mattingly, Misty Dawn Mattingly, Mary Mattingly, & Mark Mattingly Jr., and her faithful companions, Buddy and Miley.
She was preceded in death by a sister Mary Jane Mattingly, 2 brothers, Terry Mattingly, & David Mattingly, and a niece, Melissa Jane Mattingly.
Pastor Bill Ramsey will conduct funeral services at 11:00 AM on Thursday, August 29, 2013 at Adams Funeral Home & Crematory in Crothersville with burial to follow Marion Baptist Cemetery.

RAYMOND FAY HART, SR., 78, Hanover, formerly of Dupont, died Friday, August 23, 2013 at University of Louisville Hospital.
He was born on June 11, 1935 in Switzerland County to James Robert and Nellie Roland Johnson. He was retired from Schneider Tank Lines in Green Bay, Wis. after a life-long career as a truck driver.
Survivors include his by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Willie Coach Lucas and Ellen Virginia Lucas of Madison, Indiana; his brother, Bill Hart of Polatka, Florida; his daughter, Carrie Ellen Hart and her fiancée Benjamin Brooking Reindollar of Madison, Indiana, and his grandsons Cory James Fisher, Lucas Scott Fisher and Nicholas Andrew Fisher and their father Christopher Fisher; his daughter, Jayme Lee Hart, Esq., of Louisville, Kentucky; his son, Raymond F. Hart, Jr. and his wife Beth Levandoski Hart of Chicago, Illinois; his daughter, Joy Melinda "Mindi" Brent and her husband David of Campbellsburg, Kentucky and his grandchildren, LeAnn and Wade Brent; his daughter, Bonnie Kaye Hart of Madison, Indiana; his grandson, Tyler Cook; his daughter, Gina Hart Jenkins and her husband Mark and his grandsons Brittin and Luc all of Madison, Indiana; Raymond will also be missed by his dear nephews, Rick, Tony and Bobby Hart of Madison, Indiana, as well as his beloved niece Kim, Hart Jameison of Madison, Indiana; his sister-in-law, Sharon Lucas Taylor and her husband Meredith of Lexington, Indiana; his brother-in-law, Steve Lucas and his wife Barb of Lexington, Indiana and several other nephews, nieces and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Carroll Isaac and Maude Ellen Hart; his father, James Robert Hart; his mother, Nellie Roland Johnson; his sister, Falba Fettig; his brother, James Vernon Hart; his daughter, Tammy Rae Hart Cook; and his wife, Joyce Elaine Lucas Hart.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre. Burial followed in Grandview Memorial Gardens.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Raymond Fay Hart, Sr. Memorial Fund.


TERRY ANN FOX, 41, of Scottsburg, died Friday,  August 23, 2013  in Austin.
She was born December 20, 1971 in Scottsburg, of the late Ralph Gary Green  and Judy  (Henson) Green, who survives.
Survivors include sons, Darek Powers, Austin, Darel Wayne Fox, Austin, Gary Dalton Spicer, Austin; her mother, Judy Green, Austin; and brothers, Walter Lee Green, Austin, Timmy Ray Green, Clarksville.
Direct Cremation was chosen, Service will be at a later date.
