Frank Anderson has been a renowned citizen and contributor to life and community in Pekin since may of 1954 only one month out from his service to the U.S. Army in Korea. Frank came to Pekin in search of employment from his hometown Haymond in Fletcher County, KY and has since contributed many of his years and talents to the service of town, county, state and country.

In 1968 Frank was working at General Electric when friends petitioned him to join the National Guard and on May 13 that year he was called into active duty once more to serve in the Vietnam war.
Amongst Mr. Anderson’s more well known services the folks of Pekin may more readily identify Frank as having served as the town Marshall for several years or as county deputy, a position placed upon him by sheriff Clyde Nichols.
Frank has also dedicated a number of years in services of the town board having twice served and currently holding said position.
Frank has acquired many accolades in his years of service including three armed discharges; one from the state of Kentucky and two from the United States. As well, he is a recipient of the combat infantry badge.
In personal life, Frank was married to Georgie for 52 years. He is the father of four children and grandfather of 11. All of his children are residents of Pekin as well as three brothers and a sister.
