LILLIAN PEARL BAILEY, 73, Jeffersonville, died Monday, July 8, 2013 at Clark Memorial Hospital.
She was born on March 2, 1940 to Walter and Duane (Ramsey) Anderson in Adairsville, KY. She was a retired cook for Greater Clark County Schools, and a volunteer at Community Kitchen in Jeffersonville, IN. She is preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her husband, Jesse Bailey of Jeffersonville, IN; son, Edwin Keith Bailey of Las Vegas, NV; daughter, Melissa Doherty (Michael) of Nabb, IN; brothers, Alvin Anderson of Cadiz, KY, and Bruce Anderson of Franklin, KY; sisters, Rebecca Jenkins of Franklin, KY, Joyce Bewley and Martha Burchett of Franklin, KY, Gloria Johnson of Franklin, KY and Vickie Sherman; grandchildren, Kaira, Kasie, and Brett Doherty.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 13, 2013 at 11am at the Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown, with burial to follow in the Crown Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday from 11am to 8pm, and after 9am on Saturday.

ROSE MARIE BROUGH, 49, Salem, passed died Monday, July 8 at 10:15PM at her home.
She was born September 16, 1963 in Jackson County the daughter of Charles Edward and Ellen Walter Loy.
She is survived by her husband: Bill Brough of Salem and her daughter: Devon Brough of Salem.
There will be no visitation or service.


MARGARET J. GARDNER DEVRIES, 91, died Tuesday, July 9, 2013 at Whitlock House Assisted Living in Crawfordsville.
She was born on July 14, 1921 in Scottsburg to James and Maggie Bell Hougland Gardner. She was a homemaker, and retired from Sears and Roselyn Bakery. She was a member of Honey Creek Methodist Church, Ladies Aid, and a Home Ec. Club.
Survivors include her daughters: Martie (Steve) Akers and Mary (Gary) Hess; her son: Bill (Carrie) DeDries; her grandchildren: Zach (Stephanie) Akers, Katie (Clay) Gullatt, and Erin (Aaron) Doran; and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: John William DeVries; her grandson: Josh Akers; her sister and brother-in-law: Alma and Harold Gray.
Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Saturday, July 13, 2013 at Hunt & Son Funeral Home. Burial will follow at 3 pm in Scottsburg Cemetery.
Visitation will take place at the funeral home from 10 am until the time of services.
Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church.


TYLER JOEL HAMELMAN, 34, Scottsburg, died Friday, June 14, 2013.
He was born on February 12, 1979 in Columbus to Joseph G. Hamelman and Leslie K. Neel Rigsby, who survive. He was attended New Providence Baptist Church.
Other survivors include his step-father: Steve Rigsby of Scottsburg; his sons: Zane and Brayden Hamelman, both of Scottsburg, and Chase Hamelman of Noblesville; his daughter: Bailey Hamelman of Columbus; his brother: Scott (Cassie) Rigsby of Valparaiso; his sisters: Teri Ann Graham of Florida, Heather and Dawn Rigsby and Kristie (Jeff) Richardson, all of Scottsburg; and his grandmother: Bea Neel of Upton, Ky. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather: John Neel; and his paternal grandparents: Gerald and Mary Hamelman.
Funeral services will be held at 3 pm on Saturday, July 20, 2013 at Stewart & Hoagland Funeral Home.
Visitation will take place from 2 pm until the time of services on Saturday.

LARRY D. HAYS, 42, Charlestown, died Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at Floyd Memorial Hospital.
He was born on December 1, 1970 to Larry Dale and Pamela (Jones) Hays in Quantico, Va. He was employed at Ford Motor Company Kentucky Truck Plant in Louisville. He was a member of the Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Rhonda McIntosh Hays of Charlestown; daughter, Samantha Hays of Charlestown; son, Steven Hays of Charlestown; mother & step-father, Pamela G. and Jerry Zollman of Charlestown; sister, Kelly Bussey of Charlestown; grandmother, Jackie Jones of Charlestown; twin grandchildren, Mason and Hayden. He is preceded in death by his father, Larry Dale Hays, Sr.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 11, 2013 at 2pm at the Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown, with burial in the Charlestown Cemetery.
Visitation will be held after 1pm on Thursday.

ELIZABETH A. HASSFURTHER, 71, formerly of Charlestown, died Tuesday July 9, 2013 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.
She was born on March 11, 1942 to Alford and Margaret Dixon Case in Scottsburg. She worked as an executive assistant in the commercial real estate division at PNC Bank, was a member of the First Christian Church of Noblesville, and attended Waterline Church in Noblesville. She was also a member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority.
She is survived by her daughter, Maria (Kevin) Boring; brothers, Alford (Muriel) Case, JR., Gene Case, Roger (Patty) Case; sister; Belinda (Donald) Lyvers and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, Robert Joseph Hassfurther.
Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown.
Visitation will be on Tuesday after 4 p.m. until the time of the service.  A private graveside service will be held at Charlestown Cemetery on Wednesday morning, July 17, for immediate family.

DARRELL EDWARD MOORE, 54, Austin, died Friday, July 12, 2013 at his home.
He was born March 12, 1959 in Beattyville, Ky, to the late Herman Moore Sr. and Margie (Riley) Moore who survives in Booneville, Ky.
He worked as a carpenter for Rick Coomer’s Construction and was a member of United Christian Church of Paris Crossing. He also served in the National Guard for 14 years.
Survivors include his fiancée , Sandra Butcher of Austin, 3 sons, Wayne (Dedra) Boyt of Lexington, Christopher Moore of Austin, Bruce (Erica) Moore of Lexington, 1 granddaughter, Kencie Ray Moore of Lexington, IN, 1 grandson, Christian Moore of Lexington, IN, 1 brother, Herman Moore, Jr, of Scottsburg, 1 stepdaughter, Brandy (Jesse) Cochenour of Austin. He was preceded in death by a sister, Brenda Lee (Moore) Prince, stepson, Rickey “Bud” Butcher.
Pastor Damon Marling will conduct funeral services at 1:00 PM on Monday, July 15, 2013 at Adams Funeral Home & Crematory in Crothersville with cremation to follow. Friends may visit 2 hours prior to funeral services at the funeral home.
Graveside services will be conducted at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, July 17, 2013 at Wesley Chapel Cemetery.

DR. ROY D. EAGLIN, 67, Hanover, died Saturday, July 13, 2013 at his home.
He was born on August 21, 1945 in Madison to Jack M. and Laura Maxine Sherman Eaglin. He opened Roy D. Eaglin D.M.D. Family Dentistry in Warsaw, Ky. in 1976 and operated that practice until 1989. In 1985 he bought the practice of Dr. Combs in Madison and operated the practice until his passing. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam War.
Survivors include his fiancee: Peggy O'Dell of Hanover, Indiana; 2 daughters: Nina Eaglin Alcorn and her husband, David of Madison, Indiana, Anna Eaglin and her partner, Erika Klosterhoff of Columbus, Ohio; his grandchildren: Luca and Jude Alcorn; 6 brothers: Wade Eaglin and his wife, Sue of North Vernon, Indiana, Fred Eaglin and his companion, Jeanie of Evansville, Indiana, Vince Eaglin and his wife, Shannon of Madison, Indiana, Karl Eaglin and his wife, Sharon of Madison, Indiana, Monte Eaglin and his wife, Tina of Canaan, Indiana, Myron Eaglin and his wife, Kim of Madison, Indiana; 4 sisters: Linda Lohrig and her husband, Jim of Madison, Indiana, Patricia Wullenweber and her husband, Clarence, Jr. of Commiskey, Indiana, Marcella Brierly and her husband, Bill of Madison, Indiana, Marilyn Imel and her husband, Rick of Madison, Indiana; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives. A funeral mass will be held at Prince of Peace Catholic Church in downtown Madison on Friday, July 19, 2013 at 11 am. Burial will follow at the Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
Visitation will take place at Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre from 2 to 8 pm on Thursday, July 18, and from 9 until 10:30 am on Friday. The Rosary will be prayed at the funeral home at 7:30 pm.
The family requests memorials in memory of Roy to the Friends of Shawe & Pope John or Liver Cancer Research.


DONNA OWEN WOOD, 70, Hanover, died Friday, July 12, 2013 at Scott Villa Health and Rehab Center.
She was born on October 13, 1942 in Madison to the late John William Owen and Corabell Sedam Owen Chambers. She had worked for CVS Pharmacy. She had owned and operated the Main Street Antique Mall and Old Fashion Soda Fountain as well. She also owned and operated the Like New Consignment Shop and had been a member of the Madison Assembly of God Church.
Survivors include daughters: Tammy Gross and her husband, Doug of Hanover, Indiana, Denise Boles and her husband, Fred of Lexington, Indiana; her loving son: Kevin Wood and his wife, Christina of Hanover, Indiana; her son in law: Steven Brown of Minot, North Dakota; her loving grandchildren: Scott, Holly, Felicia, Abby, Stevie, Andrew, Sam, Aliza, Bridgett, Laura, Trevor; her loving great grandchildren: Charity, Trenton, Chloe, Conner, Keegan, Michael, Landon, Blake; her brothers: Ernie Owen of Lexington, Indiana, Bill Owen and his wife, Marilyn of Madison, Indiana, Paul Randall and his wife, Avanell of Hanover, Indiana, Melvin Randall and his wife, Debbie of Madison, Indiana; her sisters: Jan Bird and her husband, Paul of Madison, Indiana, Nancy Simmons of Madison, Indiana and Wanda Jackson of Hanover, Indiana; several nieces, nephews and other relatives. Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, July 17, 2013 at Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre. Burial will follow at Grandview Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will take place at the funeral home from 4 to 8 pm on Tuesday, July 16, and from 9 am until the time of services on Wednesday.

MARY K. “BOOTIE” SHOUSE, 86, Lexington, died Thursday, July 11, 2013 at Schneck Medical Center.
She was born August 29, 1926 in Henryville to the late Manker Nicholson and Phoeba Ann Metzger Nicholson. She was retired from the old Smith Cabinet Manufacturing Company in Salem and was a former employee of the old Salem Poultry Plant.
Survivors include her daughter: Kathy (Harry) Bowen of Lexington; her son: Darrell Shouse of Moores Hill, Ind.; her brothers: Howard Nicholson of Salem and Irvin Nicholson of Elkhart, Ind.; her sisters: Doris Bierley of Atlanta, Ga. and Joyce Medlock of Henryville; four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband: Virgil E. Shouse; three sons, one daughter, four brothers, two sisters and a granddaughter.
Funeral services were held Saturday, July 13, 2013 at Dawalt Funeral Home. Burial followed at Franklin Cemetery in Salem.
