On Tuesday evening, June 25 at Clarksville Little Theater the 2013 Miss Clark County was crowned. Court-ney Morgan is the daughter of Mark and Roberta Morgan and was sponsored by New Washington Hardware of New Washington. She was crowned by outgoing 2012 queen Candace Popp. Courtney was also awarded the honor of Miss Congeniality by her peers that participated in the pageant.
Queen Courtney will serve as the official hostess of the Clark County 4-H Fair during the week of July 12-20. She will also represent Clark County at the Indiana State Fair Queen Pageant, August
The 2013 Miss Clark County received a number of wonderful gifts including crown, sash, and silver tray from the Clark County 4-H Corporation, bouquet from Henderson Flower Shop, and cash among other won-derful prizes donated by local businesses and individuals.
The 1st Runner-up was Coari Robertson daughter of Tom and Lisa Robertson and sponsored by Southern Indiana Plastics of Jeffersonville. Coari will step into the role of queen if for any reason the queen cannot perform her duties during the year. She received a sash and silver tray from the Clark County 4-H Corpora-tion, cash, and many other gifts.
The 2nd Runner-up was Kelsey Dockter daughter of Chris and Debbie Dockter and was sponsored by Davis Coy Insurance of Charlestown. Kelsey was awarded a sash and silver tray from the Clark County 4-H Cor-poration, and cash along with other prizes.
All the young women of Clark County that participated in the pageant received a rose from Aebersold Florist in Sellersburg, a pageant t-shirt from the Estopinal Group, and a pageant tote bag from Earth First of Ken-tuckiana that was filled with gifts from local businesses and individuals.
