Real Property parcels with delinquent taxes, penalties or other assessments due will be offered for a tax certificate sale at an auction to be held on October 7, 2013 at the Clark County Government Center in Jeffersonville, Indiana.  Under Indiana Code, the County Treasurer is required to certify a listing of parcels with delinquent taxes originally due May 10, 2012 and not paid as of June 30, 2013.  The current preliminary listing has over 1,000 parcels with such past due taxes.
Public notice of the sale will be published according to state statue.  Property owners must pay, before June 30, 2013, all taxes and penalty that were due by May 10, 2012 to avoid being certified.  After July 1, 2013 all delinquent taxes, penalties and special assessments plus any tax sale charges, which may be applicable, must be paid to avoid going to auction.
NOTE: After June 30, 2013, taxpayers will have to pay more to remove the property from the Tax Sale.   If further assistance is needed please feel free to contact the Treasurer or you may check out your tax records on-line at: http://clarkin.egis.39dn.com/# (Click on the inverted triangle at the top/center to begin your search).
