?    The Costume Carnival is coming to the Floyd County 4H Fairgrounds on October 31. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. for the Trick or Treaters. This event is being hosted by the Floyd County 4H Corporation, Inc., a group of 15 volunteers. This is a free event with candy given from local businesses in the community. Thought of as a safer alternative to door to door trick or treating, this event is held indoors.
Special guest will be Pat Harrison, who founded this event 20 years ago, as the Fairy God Mother.
Others making appearances will be: Sporty from Sports Clips, Big Boy, Buddy from the Fun House, and Derby Dinner Playhouse will have their own special guest make an appearance. A Class Act will be the DJ’s for the night. A moon bounce will be set up by Parks and Recreation.
If you are a business, and would like to participate in the Costume Carnival, please call Lisa Duffy at (812) 987-6086. Tables are free, and the business provides candy for the children.
A special thanks to Your Community Bank for being a prime sponsor for this event.
