An autopsy was completed on May 21 at the Kentucky Medical Examiner’s Office in Louisville, KY, on the white male subject located deceased in the residence at 1365 State Road #64 in Ramsey yesterday.
The white male is identified as Joe Johnson, 33, from Louisville, KY. The preliminary autopsy results were able to determine Joe Johnson died from a single gunshot wound from a handgun to the chest area. The autopsy results will not be complete until toxicology results return which typically take up to six weeks.
The preliminary investigation by Indiana State Police Detectives has revealed the shooting was allegedly the result of a domestic dispute between Joe Johnson and his girl friend that lived at the residence. The name of the female is not being released at this time due to the continuing investigation.
Once the investigation is completed it will be turned over to the Harrison County Prosecutor’s Office for review.
ON May 20 at 9:25 am, the Harrison County Sheriff’s Department received a 911 call of a man shot in Ramsey. A trooper from the Indiana State Police Post at Sellersburg was close and responded to the scene. When he arrived he found a female on the front porch of 1365 State Road #64 in Ramsey and a male subject deceased inside of the home.
At this time there is no one at large. However, an arrest has not been made.
