“We are always looking for ways to enhance the lives of our residents through a wide variety of activities and special Live A Dream wishes granted here at Autumn Woods Health Campus,” said Sandy Whelan, ADC, QDCS, Guest Relations and Trilogy Foundation Ambassador for Autumn Woods.

John LaFever was a Captain on the Jeffersonville Fire Department for many years prior to his retirement and still enjoys talking about his work.
Several of the men who worked for him in Jeffersonville recently visited with John one afternoon. There was much laughter as they shared their memories together. The following day the crew from the Green Valley Rd. Fire Station in New Albany made a special visit to the Autumn Woods campus to surprise John and several other residents. It was a beautiful warm spring day filled with sunshine as John and the other residents went outside.
The bright red fire truck stood gleaming in the sunlight as John said “let me climb up on that big thing!” The fire crew were so generous with their time, posing for photos and letting the residents wear their fire helmets.
“Thanks again to our wonderful firemen who are always there in times of crisis, but who also share their time to make a retired fireman’s dream come true,” Whelan said.
