|National acts set for Kroger’s Fest-a-Ville|

The Kentucky Derby Festival is pleased to announce its national concert lineup for Kroger’s Fest-A-Ville on the Waterfront for the 2013 Derby Festival.
Pop-rock-country music star Uncle Kracker will kick off the festivities with the Sonic Saturday show on Saturday, April 27. Runners with a finisher’s medal from that day’s KDF Marathon/miniMarathon presented by Walmart and HumanaVitality will receive free entry into the venue.
On April 28, Family Sunday will feature a full slate of Christian music acts. The show will begin at 5 p.m. featuring headliner Building 429 with Rhett Walker Band and Finding Favour.
After topping the R&B charts for more than a decade and selling more than 17 million albums, Cameo will be featured on Tuesday, May 1, at the RhythmFest concert. Cameo is well known for their hit song “Word Up.”
On Wild Wednesday, May 2, The Features, along with special guest, Discount Guns, will take the stage beginning at 7 p.m.
Tune It Up Thursday on May 2 will feature The Wallflowers. This group is well known for chart-topping songs such as “One Headlight,” “6th Avenue Heartache” and “Everything I Need.” This concert will begin at 9 p.m.

A big name in country music will headline The Kentucky Derby Festival Derby Eve Jam® concert, scheduled for 8:30 p.m. at Kroger’s Fest-A-Ville on the Waterfront.
On Thursday, April 25, Kroger’s Fest-a-Ville on the Waterfront opens and will run through Friday, May 3. The venue will once again be located at Waterfront Park. The Fest-A-Ville venue will be open weekdays from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 11 p.m. This ultimate entertainment experience offers national concerts, family fun, food vendors, a children’s inflatable playground, midway rides and more. Admission is a 2013 Pegasus Pin. Kroger is title sponsor of the event, with contributing sponsor Miller Lite.
Since 1956, the Derby Festival has worked to bring the community together in celebration. The Festival is an independent community organization supported by 4,000 volunteers, 375 businesses and civic groups, Pegasus Pin sponsorships and event participation. This involvement has made the Festival the largest single attended event in Kentucky and one of the leading community celebrations in the world.
