Purdue Extension Educator Reba Colley will be retiring on March 31, 2013 after 20-plus years of service with Purdue University Cooperative Extension Service. The Clark County Extension Board will host a reception in Colley’s honor on Tuesday, March 19 from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Clark County Extension Office, 9608 Highway 62 in Charlestown. Everyone is invited.
Colley, born and raised in Oklahoma, received her B.S. degree in Home Economics at Panhandle State University in Oklahoma. She and her family moved to Clark County in 1986.
After receiving her M.S. degree in Secondary Education from Indiana University Southeast in 1992, she began working for Purdue University as Clark County Extension Educator in Consumer and Family Sciences, sharing the position with then Educator Pam Robbins until 1996.
For more than 20 years, she has served the people of Clark County by providing educational programming and answering many questions over the years on topics that affect the family and consumer.
Colley and Jack, her husband of more than 42 years reside in Memphis. They have three grown children and seven grandchildren.
