The Scott County Sheriff’s Office launched a website on August 30, 2012 and we are pleased to announce that we have now added our Warrants and Inmate Roster to the site. We invite the community to visit our site at www.ScottCountySheriff.org to view the new Warrants section and the Inmate Roster.
Having the warrants online will allow the public to view warrant details for individuals. Our goal is to be able to serve more arrest warrants and bring the alleged offenders before the Courts and provide a better service to the victims.
Having the jail roster online will allow the public to view photos and booking details for individuals in the detention center as well as those released within the last 48 hours. You can also sign up to receive alerts via text or email each morning showing who has been booked in or released within the past 24 hours. This jail roster feature is also a great tool to discuss with your family and friends as there is no hiding anyone incarcerated here on a criminal violation. If the fear of being featured on the website prevents anyone from making bad choices and violating the law; then everyone wins.
The jail roster, warrants and most wanted features of our website is an excellent tool in helping to identify persons responsible for other crimes, bring those fugitives before the Courts, and to reduce overall criminal activity within our community.
Our Website www.ScottCountySheriff.org provides details on all aspects of the Sheriff’’s Office. One of our goals when developing the new Website was to provide a centralized location for current information such as press release information, locations area sex offenders are living, and help provide answers to the many questions we are asked weekly.
For more information about the Website please contact the Sheriff’’s Office at 812-752-8400 or visit www.ScottCountySheriff.org. We welcome all tips on locations or ways to contact wanted persons. Simply call our office or email from the website, and your information will be followed up on. For urgent information please call our office at 752-8400 or dial 911 for an emergency.
