The Lanesville Youth League Endowment Fund at the Harrison County Community Foundation has received a $100,000 boost. The fund, established last year, provides for the support and maintenance of the Lanesville Youth League Fields. Plans call for the creation of a field designed for kids with special needs. The donors said they know it will cost additional money to maintain such a specialized field and they want to make sure it is available. They hope others will join them in providing support for the project.
HCCF’s Board of Directors voted to raise the amount that the foundation will match dollar for dollar beginning in January of this year. Knowing this, the donors took advantage of the new $50,000 dollar for dollar match per household per year allowance and made a $50,000 gift to the Lanesville Youth League Endowment Fund. That $50,000 was matched with $50,000 from the foundation for a total $100,000 donation.
