|Little Pirate Nights this Friday and Saturday; CHS Girls Basketball Senior Night and Blessings for Brody|

Charlestown Pirate Pride will host Little Pirate Night at Charlestown High School this Friday
and Saturday. All Charlestown Middle, Jonathan Jennings and Pleasant Ridge students are invited to attend the Charlestown High School Basketball games on February 1 and February 2. Admission will be $2 for Charlestown Middle, Jonathan Jennings and Pleasant Ridge students attending the game.
On Friday, February 1, the Charlestown High School girl’s basketball team will host the Madison Cubs. The Charlestown Middle, Jonathan Jennings and Pleasant Ridge sixth, seventh and eighth grade girls basketball teams and cheerleaders will be recognized at half time of the JV and Varsity basketball games. In between games, Senior members of the girls basketball team will be honored for the years of dedication to Charlestown High School Athletics.
On Saturday, February 2, the Charlestown High School boys basketball team will host Corydon Central High School. The Charlestown Middle, Jonathan Jennings and Pleasant Ridge boys basketball teams will be recognized at halftime of the JV & Varsity basketball games.
Between games on Saturday, February 2, the family of Brody Curtis will be recognized.
Brody is the son of Charlestown High School teacher Heather Curtis. Brody was born on May 24, 2011 with a rare life-threatening skin condition called Recessive Dystrophic Epidermolysis Bullosa. Children born with EB are called “butterfly children” because their skin is as fragile as butterfly wings. There is
no cure for EB at this time.
The JV games tip-off at 6 p.m. on both Friday and Saturday. Admission is $5 for adults, Charlestown Middle, Jonathan Jennings and Pleasant Ridge students are $2 with preschool children being admitted free. All Charlestown High School Students will be admitted free with their high school ID compliments of Charlestown Pirate Pride.
