Silver Creek HS Cheerleaders compete at the Indiana State Cheer Competition PDF Print E-mail



It has been over a decade since Silver Creek has competed on the State level. To receive this honor their first year back was such a tremendous accomplishment. After months of practicing, a lot of hard work, and even more determination, the Silver Creek High School (SCHS) Cheerleaders advanced to the Indiana State cheerleading competition this season.



On October 27, the SCHS cheerleaders traveled to Pendleton Heights High School to compete amongst the state of Indiana's 3A cheerleading teams. The top nine teams advanced to state. After nailing their 2.5 minute routine, Silver Creek was awarded one of the top nine spots advancing to State in the 3A division!

On November 3, Silver Creek traveled to the State competition which was hosted at Southport High School. The Silver Creek team gave it their all and pulled off a fifth place finish for the state of Indiana.

While reflecting on the strong state finish, coach Jennifer Coffman, said, "As coaches, we are so proud to have the opportunity to work next to such a talented group of hardworking young ladies. These girls represent themselves, their school, and the town of Sellersburg in such a positive light every day. We are very proud of them and this achievement".
