The Polar Express will be in Salem on Dec. 7 at 5:30 p.m.
The evening will start at 5L30 with crafts and the movie will be shown at 6 p.m.
Depot Station Master Cecil Smith will be the conductor and will punch the tickets of everyone who boards.
Rumor has it that a special guest from the North Pole will be present so all are encouraged to bring their camera.
There will be hot chocolate, cookies and popcorn served to the passengers.
Those attending will also receive a booklet with Polar Express activities and recipes will be given out to all who attend.
A special gift will be given out, a bell to ring out the celebration of “believing.”
There is room for just the first 60 kids who sign up on the Polar Express.
The deadline to signup is Tuesday, Dec. 4 at 4 p.m.
Those attending are encouraged to wear their pajamas.
Call the Salem Parks and Rec. office to reserve a ticket.
If no one answers callers are asked to leave a message with name, how many who will attend and a phone number to confirm.
Attendance numbers must include adults and children when making the reservation.
