Pirate Football Regional time set, Coach Hawkins, players to be guests on radio show PDF Print E-mail

The Charlestown High School Pirate Football team (12-0) will host the Titans of Gibson Southern High School (10-2) this Friday, November at Dutch Reis Field in The Bone Yard of Charlestown High School. Kick-off is scheduled for 8 p.m. (local time) and game tickets are $7 each.


Pirate Football Coach Jason Hawkins and some of the Pirate Football stars will guest on this week’s “High School Sports Report with Matt Dennison.” The radio show will air on 1450 AM radio and streaming live on-line at www.1450thesportsbuzz.com  this Thursday from 7 to 8 p.m.; live from the Tumbleweed Restaurant off Charlestown Road in New Albany.
Pirate Football Fan Merchandise will be on sale this Friday, November 9 between 2 and 6 p.m. at the corner of Market and Park Streets in Charlestown. There will be cotton t-shirts for $5 to $10, climate control shirts from $15 to $25, blankets $20, spirit towels $5, blue hooded sweatshirts $30 and skull caps for $15. Sizes are available from youth medium through adult 4X while supplies last. Sales are being held here due to the IHSAA rule of no spirit item sales on school property during state playoff games. All proceeds go directly to supporting the football team during the 2012 State Playoffs.
Pirate Pride Sports Broadcasting will broadcast Friday’s game live via streaming audio over the internet at www.CPPSB.com; as well as, on 87.9 FM radio in Charlestown, and on “The Sports Buzz”, 1450 AM (WQKC) radio. Pregame coverage will begin at 7:30 p.m. in anticipation of the 8 p.m. kick-off, coverage sponsored by Bill Broughton Trucking and Excavating.
