A Louisville man dies as a result of an accident that happened on the I-265 westbound ramp to I-64 eastbound in Floyd County on Oct. 30 at approximately 12:28 p.m.
Witnesses say a blue 2007 Ford Taurus was traveling westbound on I-265 at a high rate of speed. Upon taking the ramp to I-64 eastbound, the Ford for an unknown reason left the roadway and traveled down a steep embankment where it crashed. The driver, James M. Stallings, 34, Louisville, was transported to University Hospital by air ambulance where he was pronounced dead. The driver was not wearing a safety belt at the time of the crash. This is a pending crash investigation. Further information to be released. |
