Floyd Central’s girls’ cross country team claimed last Saturday’s regional championship at Crawford County.
The Lady Highlanders scored 46 points, Perry Central and New Albany each scored 96 and North Harrison’s girls were fourth with 114 points.

North Harrison’s Ashton Bosler was second overall.
Other local top finishers were: Kydia Kotowski (FC, fourth), Alyssa Moore, who is pictured at right, (FC, sixth), Madison Barney (FC, seventh), Zoe Doebler (FC, 11th), Jamie Bierman (FC, 15th), Haley Meyer (FC, 17th),  Cassie Nale (FC, 19th), Hayley Elliott (NH, 24th), Shelby Lindsey (NH, 25th), Savannah Taylor (NH, 29th), Brooklyn Agnew (Borden, 35th) and Kaela Wright (NH, 46th).
In the boys’ regional, Borden placed second overall and Floyd Central was fifth.
Lanesville finished eighth in the team scoring.
North Harrison’s Jonathan Reynolds was first.
Other top local runners were: Julien Magallanes (Borden, ninth), Brandon Price (Lanesville, 13th), George Tipker (Borden, 17th), Luke Uhl (FC, 18th), Travis Kaake (Lanesville, 19th), Brian Eurton (Borden, 21st), Curtis Wetzel (NH, 24th), Nathan Magallanes (Borden, 25th), Gavin Tipker (Borden, 28th), Alec Heitz (FC, 32nd), Grant Vellinger (FC, 33rd), Kahler Davis (FC, 36th), Mike White (FC, 39th), Grant Reynolds (FC, 41st), Andrew Kennedy (Lanesville, 42nd), Tyler Hood (NH, 46th), Reese Tarr (FC, 47th).
All the runners who advanced will compete Saturday morning in Brown County.
