Former U of L basketball star to speak Friday at Pekin UMC PDF Print E-mail

The Pekin United Methodist Youth group will host a lock-in Friday.
Kids between the ages of 13 through senior in high school are invited to attend.


Those planning to attend should call 812-620-3849 by Thursday of this week to make reservations.
At 10 p.m. Friday night, former U of L women’s basketball star Becky Burke will share her testimony.
Burke was a member and key contributor of the Cardinals team that lost to Maya Moore and the UConn Lady Huskies
She and Angel McCoughtry were the Cardinal leaders that year.
You do not have to attend the lock-in to come and hear Burke speak.
The worship service featuring Burke will begin in the church sanctuary at 10 p.m.
The following is a look at Burke’s career at U of L.
Junior Year (2010-11): Started in 17 games for the Cardinals ... Ranked fourth on the team in scoring with 7.9 points per game ... Was second on the team in three-point field goal percentage, connecting on 38.8 percent ... Scored a season-high 21 points against Kentucky and St. John’s ... Pulled down a season-high six rebounds against Old Dominion and Dayton ... Knocked down a season-high six three-pointers against Kentucky ...
