Floyd Central Theatre Arts is preparing to kick start their new season for the 2012-13 school year. Following is their scheduled list of shows and individual performances for this season:
The Miracle Worker: September 14, 15, 20 and 21; Matinées on September 16 and 23.
The Music Man: November 2, 3, 9 and 10; Matinées on November 4 and 11.
Madrigal Celebration: November 30 and December 1.
Godspell: February 7, 8, 9 and 10.; Matinées on February 9 and 10.
Anything Goes: March 8, 9, 15 and 16; Matinées on March 10 and 17.
A Night of One Acts: April 19, 20 and 21;  Matinées on April 20 and 21.
The Floyd Central Performing Arts Center is a state-of-the-art facility that seats 850. Their production of “The Music Man” and “Anything Goes” will will be featured in this space. For the Music Lab production of “Godspell”, this stage will be transformed into an intimate 100 seat theatre in the round. Pricing for shows held on the main stage will be $12 for adults, $10 for senior citizens and $6 for students.
Studio One is an intimate 130 seat theatre. Floyd Central’s production of “The Miracle Worker” and “A Night of One Acts” will be presented in this space. Pricing for this venue is $10 for adults and $6 for students. Reservations are strongly encouraged due to the limited seating.
Floyd Central Theatre Arts’ box office and information line is available 24 hours a day. When placing an order, their ticketing staff will try to return a confirmation call within two days. No phone reservation will be accepted on the day of a performance. Visa, Mastercard and Discover are accepted when charging phone orders or requesting to hold tickets. The box office is manned two weeks prior to major productions and the week between runs from 9 am to 2 pm. The number is 812-542-2284.
