|Traffic Stop Leads To Mobile Meth Lab in New Albany|
Early Thursday (July 12, 2012) shortly after 12:30 AM, Trooper Mike Davis from the Indiana State Police Post at Sellersburg stopped a red 1995 Jeep for a traffic violation near the intersection of State Road 111 and Scott Street in New Albany. During the traffic stop the driver, Matthew Watson, 40, from Kewanna Drive in Jeffersonville was found to be operating the vehicle while intoxicated.
Matthew Watson was placed under arrest and while performing an inventory of the vehicle before it was towed Trooper Davis located a working “One Pot” Methamphetamine Lab and Precursors in the vehicle. He also located suspected Marijuana and Paraphernalia.
Matthew Watson was incarcerated at the Floyd County Jail on the following charges:
