Couple arrested, charged with burglary PDF Print E-mail

Leighsa Phipps and Ricky Phipps were arrested and both face a number of charges.
Leighsa Phipps’ charges include, Burglary, a Class B felony; aiding, inducing or causing an offense (burglary), a class B Felony; theft, a Class D Felony; aiding, inducing or causing an offense (theft), a class D felony.
She is being held on a $43,000 full cash bond.
Ricky Phipps’ charges include, Burglary, a Class B felony; aiding, inducing or causing an offense (burglary), a class B Felony; theft, a Class D Felony; aiding, inducing or causing an offense (theft), a class D felony.
He is also being held on a $43,000 full cash bond.
According to a probable cause affidavit filed by Washington County Sheriff’s Department Detective Brent Miller, the charges stem from an alleged break-in on Old Palmyra Road in October of 2011.
Miller said in the report he was called after someone checking on the home noticed signs that the place had been broken into and noticed what appeared to be drops of blood just inside the residence.
A number of items were taken from the residence including two credit cards and Miller said he was able to get video evidence of the Phipps using the cards.
