Strawberry Festival this weekend PDF Print E-mail

It’s that time again for the annual Strawberry Festival, which will take place this Saturday, May 26, in scenic Starlight, Indiana. The festival kicks off at 8 am with a 5K Run/Walk for the Berries, then continues to provide activities for visitors of all ages throughout the day and well into the night.
Various booths will be open from 10 am to 8 pm  and a buffet style chicken dinner will be served from 11 am through 7 pm. Festival favorites like the homegrown strawberry contest, the strawberry pie eating contest and the Strawberry Queen and Little Miss Shortcake competitions will take place during the day as well.
Everyone is invited to come out for the annual Street Dance, 7:30 pm to 1 am, featuring music provided by southern Indiana’s own “The Rumors”. Adults can also join around the tables in the Wine & Beer garden to play Blackjack, Showndown, or just relax and enjoy the music and hospitality.
The Strawberry Festival, now in its 34th year, is hosted by St. John’s Church of Starlight. The festival is located at 8310 St. John’s Road. For more information, call 812-923-5785.
