Clark County voters took to the polls on Tuesday to make their voices heard and decide who will represent them in the upcoming General Election in November.
A total of 12,984 ballots were cast throughout Clark County on Tuesday, May 8 for the primary election. Republicans cast 7,174 ballots while Democrats cast 5,810 ballots in Clark County last week. There are 86,456 registered voters in Clark County. Clark County had a 15.02 percent voter turn out.
Republican Results
President
Mitt Romney took the Republican nod in Clark County with 4,558 or 67.16 percent of the vote. Ron Paul received 1,034 or 15.24 percent while
Rick Santorum received 771 votes or 11.36 percent of the vote. Newt Gingrich received 424 votes or 6.25 percent.
US Senator
Richard Mourdock upset long-time Senator Richard Lugar. Mourdock received 5,118 votes or 72.69 percent while Lugar received 1,923 votes or 27.31 percent.
Governor
Mike Pence ran unopposed and received 5,613 votes.
US Rep in Congress- District 9
Todd Young ran unopposed and received 5,872 votes.
State Rep in District 66

Rhonda J. Rhoads ran unopposed and received 1,270 votes.
State Rep in District 71

Steve Davisson ran unopposed and received 360 votes.
Judge Circuit 4

Coroner
Terry Conway received 3,025 or 54.83 percent while Mark Goodlett received 2,492 votes or 45.17 percent.
Commissioner District 1
Rick Stephenson ran unopposed and received 4,785 votes.
Commissioner District 2
Jack Coffman Sr. ran unopposed and received 4,851 votes.
Council At-Large
Voters chose up to three candidates to represent them.
Kelly Khuri received 3,107 votes or 23.04 percent and Ryan Lynch received 2,365 votes or 17.53 percent and Ronald Brogan received 2,315 votes or 17.16 percent. Chuck Latham received 2,228 votes or 16.52 percent, Mac McIntosh received 1,751 votes or 12.98 percent while Adam Hutchinson received 1,722 votes or 12.77 percent.

President
President Barack Obama received 4,271 votes.
US Senator
Joe Donnelly ran unopposed and received 4,147 votes.
Governor
John Gregg ran unopposed and received 4,205 votes.
US Rep in Congress- District 9
Shelli Yoder received 2,180 votes or 42.29 percent while Robert Winningham received 1,635 votes or 31.72 votes and Jonathan George received 827 votes or 16.04 percent.  John Miller received 285 votes or 5.53 percent and John Wilford received 228 votes or 4.42 percent.
State Rep District 66
Terry Goodin ran unopposed and received 1,021 votes.
State Rep in District 70
Terry Miller received 390 votes or 58.38 percent while Alva “Jim” Kincaid Jr. received 278 votes or 41.62 percent.
State Rep in District 71
Steven Stemler ran unopposed and received 2,989 votes.
State Rep in District 73
Sandra Blanton ran unopposed and received 178 votes.
Judge Circuit 4
Vicki Carmichael ran unopposed and received 4,797 votes.
Coroner
John Hall ran unopposed and received 4,415 votes.
Commissioner District 1
Ed Meyer ran unopposed and received 4,182 votes
Commissioner District 2
Les Young ran unopposed and received 4,009 votes.
Council At-Large
Voters chose up to three candidates to represent them.
Susan Popp received 3,211 votes or 23.77 percent while Kevin Vissing received 2,505 votes or 18.54 percent and Brenda Ross received 2,296 votes or 16.99 percent. Perry Smith received 2,103 votes or 15.57 percent, David Abbott received 2,019 votes or 14.94 percent and Charles King received 1,376 votes or 10.19 percent.
